RIPPED OFF!!!! 11/15/2010

Was charged 65 cent extra for a piece of lettuce on my burger that was abou the size of a silver dollar. I didn't find out about the extra charge until I went to pay. Since the waitress nor any other means of notification let me know of this extra charge, I didn't feel I should have to pay it since I wasn't given the option to leave off the lettuce. The manager would no adjust my bill and he was very very rude to me and stated he didn't care if I ever did business with them again. This backwoods redneck joint even charges extra for soda refills. This practice has been out for the past 20 - 30 years!! more

Central Cafe 7/24/2003

Central Cafe has been around as long as I can remember. The quality, service and food have consistently fared very well. Whenever I find myself back home in Rocky Mount, I can hardly resist a trip down memory lane and into Central Cafe. THE best spot to wait for the Christmas Parade when I was a child was here. Pros: good service, good quality, good food Cons: downtown, bad parking more
