Great for dogs and people! 8/12/2010

Place is great...Staff is friendly. You people below are idiots. Why would you leave a dog here if you thought it was disgusting. I board my 2 dogs every weekend here. Staff is always on point, facillity is cleaner and more organized than most daycares. I recommend this place highly! I'm a regular so read the paperwork when you drop off. You sign for the charges on Sunday. Its written clearly on the paperwork for you numbnuts below. more

Poorly run business, we did not end up leaving our dogs here. 5/21/2010

After looking at the website for Central Animal Inn we were sure that it was the perfect place for our 2 dogs to spend the night while we went out of town for a graduation party. We were wrong! After speaking with someone on the phone a week or so in advance we were assured that as long as we dropped them off before 12:30 on Saturday they could get their vaccines (which they were due to get that week) and we could pick them up between 5 and 7 Sunday evening. When we arrived at noon to drop them off, the woman working was EXTREMELY rude and told us that our dogs were probably going to have to stay until Monday so they could get their vaccines (which makes no sense because they supposedly had to be up to date to stay there) since it was so close to closing time for the vets and the vets probably wouldn't have time to fit them in. She then back-peddled when I said "if that is the case, we will just take them with us. We ARE picking them up on Sunday." I already had a bad feeling about the more

I'll be back 4/10/2009

This place is awesome! Staff is friendly, clean and upscale. The little town of Herrin is lucky to have such a nice facility! I am originally from Chicago and this place is so convenient. Yes, they are pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. I got my dog groomed, vaccinated, boarded all while I was on vacation and in one trip. I have only been there once but I will be back. more

Quick to get into, pricey, and just ok... 3/29/2009

I left my dog here twice. The first time we were in a bit of an emergency. He was in the runs (the cheapest at $16/night). We picked him up the next morning at 9:00 a.m. and he hadn't been out since we left him there at 7:00 the previous night. Granted, they do close the runs at night, but I guess I thought they might take him out in the morning. The staff was very friendly and nice that trip.\r The second time I went there the staff member was reluctant to let me take my dog to the runs area (he has a tad of separation anxiety). I told her that he will not go unless I go back there with him, and she seemed a bit snooty about that.\r They weren't bad at all, but I have found better options in the area. They do have upscale services such as doggie cameras and tvs for the dogs. It would be my second choice- but not my first. more
