Anyone can say whatever they want about Central Animal Clinic...we have been with them for over 13 yrs. We live in Justin and it is hard for us to get there at times. We tried other vets close by but they didn't seem to care about our dogs the way Dr. Altman has. They called us to see how anyone of our dogs were if they'd went through a procedure. It is not all about the money..it is about love and care for our pets. Our Chihuahua Alley..a white deer chi...was having what we all thought was seizures. We had taken her to a vet close to home when her medical care became extremely urgent and never would have made it to Central. We should have chanced the trip. What we did not know till the day of Alley's death was that she had a blood disease called immunodeficiency... very serious...she passed away in my arms Jan. 21st.. after a blood transfusion that did absolutely nothing for her. I felt that rather then use her as a test animal...they should have told us it would be better to have her put down...or if she had a chance hospitalize her with oxygen to see if her condition would better itself. They never offered to even do so...it was like they did not care because she was 13 yrs and 3 months. They were sympathetic to our loss but it was all to late for that. I am still not over her loss...my Alley aka pork chop...will be forever in my heart. We have went back to Central because to us and our dogs, they are so very caring. I like when they followup with a phone call regarding our babies. We have since adopted a part Chi part min pin who is a rescue...she was abused. She will be 2 in November...and has since ate my sofa...chewed up blankets...toilet paper etc...we have disciplined this little rascal...and have gotten her over the chewing to a certain extent. Charlene is excellent with our pets she hasn't met Honey yet but knows Bocephus and Harley well. Don't take the word on these reviews of some customers who are disgruntled because they lack the communication skills to talk to people instead of treating them like peons. This Animal Hospital is wonderful..caring...and compassionate. They are very understanding and helpful...we love them and are back to stay...no distance is of no issue... I will trust no one else with my babies.\r Thank you Staff and doctors\r Sincerely,\r Margie Tankersley more

DO NOT GO TO CENTRAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! THERE ARE SO MANY NICE/COMPETENT VETS AROUND. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. my dog had to get an x-ray. We paid almost $400 for the x-ray and based on the result of the x-ray, Dr. Hultman said my dog needed a knee surgery which would cost anywhere from $2,000-3,000. more

The best vet and staff 7/8/2006

The staff at Central go above and beyond to care for your pets. A couple of years ago, I found a stray kitten. I decided to keep him, and took him to Central where I was told he had feline leukemia. Being the owner of other cats, I couldn't risk their lives by keeping the little stray. I thought my only option was to put him to sleep. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. When the staff saw how hard that decision was for me, they decided to keep him at the clinic until they could find someone who could care for him. Cons: Parking lot is small. more
