Cleaning and emergnecy root canal 3/3/2011

I called the office about 8:30AM and was in the chair at 10:00AM. When Dr. Wang told me I needed a root canal, the procedure started about 11:30AM. Prompt emergency service. Dentristry service doesn't get better than that. more

sarah always makes me feel so welcome. and dr wang and his assistant explain the procedure and stop to answer any questions i have. i feel more comfortable there than i ever have at any other dental office. more

Excellent 2/28/2011

I have been coming to Dr Wang and crew since I moved to Portland a couple years ago, and he was my first dentist after a long period without regular exams. Everyone on staff is unerringly pleasant and professional, and Dr Wang is skilled, personable and reassuring. While I haven't had any serious dental problems to deal with (and hope not to), I would have no hesitation in coming to Dr. Wang and his staff. I don't dread my appointments, and that's significant. more

My first visit to Dr Wang's office was a very pleasant experience. He and his entire staff do a great job. From Sarah who runs the front office, to my hygenist, to Dr Wang. He and his entire staff do a wonderful job and I'm looking forward to my next visit to his office. more

Excellent 2/22/2011

I came in for my six month cleaning which I've been doing since 1992 with Dr. Stenger, Dr. Getch and now Dr. Wang. My girlfriend went to another dentist for her dental exam resently which she had obtained through a special GROUPON offer. At that visit she was told she had 10 cavities which really surprised her since she had 0 cavities 9 months earlier. Dr. Wang was willing to meet with her for a second opinion to review her dental file and films. Upon reviewing her teeth and dental file, he came to the conclusion that the other dentist looked at her files incorrectly which would have cost my girlfriend $2,400 for nothing. She still has 0 cavities! I also brought my son in for his six month cleaning. Dr. Wang was willing to squeeze him in since we hadn't set an appointment for him. Everyone had a clean bill of health! I think Dr. Wang has two new client! Thank you again! more

Positive experience considering it was for a ROOT CANAL! 2/16/2011

I would rather go on a tropical vacation than have a root canal done, but my experience with Dr Wang and his staff made it not so bad. They made appointment quickly, clearly communicated my options, and did the entire procedure on that visit -- root canal and cap done in their office right then. Impressive equipment and friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommend! more

Cleaning 2/10/2011

I love my dental hygienist! She is always so careful and does such a good job. My teeth have been so sensitive lately that I've dreaded coming in for cleanings. But, my hygienist and Dr. Wang worked together to come up with the idea to apply a sensitivity agent prior to the cleaning and that made a huge difference. No matter what new problems seem to come up, they always have a solution for them. more

New Imaging Technology 2/10/2011

I recently had a full mouth 'picture' of all of my teeth done. The technology is great, and super easy compared to the old panoramic views that used to be done. Plus, because the pictures are similar to those of an MRI, you can see all sides of each tooth. This really helps to see trouble before it starts. It is so nice to have more control over my own dental health. Dr. Wang took time to review all of these views with me and explain and answer, in detail, any questions that I had. The best part of this technology is that is helps me make more informed decisions about my own dental care and needs. more

Finally, the sensitivity pain is gone- 2/10/2011

After months of dealing with sensitivity and pain on the right side of my mouth, I came to Dr. Wang and asked if there was anything that could be done. I was given three treatment options- 1) To use a prescription strength sensitivity toothpaste. 2) To have a coating applied after each cleaning to all of my sensitive areas and 3) To have composite fillings to provide a more permanent solution. After using both of the first options, which worked great- I ultimately opted to go with option #3 and have composite fillings done on the most sensitive teeth. This is the first time in years that the sensitivity is completely gone on the right side of my mouth. Incredible. Now I can hardly wait to get the left side done! The process was really pretty quick- and he took every measure to make sure I experienced no pain during the procedure. His dental assistant was awesome too- I truly feel that Dr. Wang and his staff truly care about my dental health needs. This is hard to say in today's environment of health care in this country. more

Dr Wang is a skilled, knowledgeable professional, and also a gentle, caring person. He carefully explains all your options, including the costs. His office is not only equipped with state of the art equipment, but is staffed with exceptional people. His assistant and hygienist both add to the friendly, reassuring atmosphere. If you have a fear of dentists, please try this office. Dr Wang and his staff can make a trip to the dentist fun. more
