Center Street Smoke House

Absoulutly deplorable. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and a burger. Seems like a simple order right. Well the milkshake was watery and had no flavor. The burger had rotten lettuce on it, the bottom of the bun was moldy as well as soggy. The cheesy biscuits tasted like they were a few days old and had been microwaved. My friend got the pecan encrusted chicken that was undercooked and drenched in way too sweet of a sauce... inedible. To top it all off we had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even seated us on a slow Tuesday night and the waitress didn't do anything but take our order we never saw her after that. I will never be spending my hard earned cash in this dump again. Oh also let me tell you the smoke from the smoking room in the basement often wafts up to the dining room and makes your clothes reek. more

With two kids, we don't get out to eat often, but this is in our top 3 favorite restaurant list. The food is always great, the service is good. Children are welcome and the staff has always been so with them. "Can you get us more orange garnishes for my son to eat -- again?" you get these fantastic cheese biscuits with your meal. their ribs are great, but they have other wonderful entrees too. I almost always order the pecan encrusted chicken. The atmosphere is great too, set in an old newspaper building with two levels for dining and a bar area. We've never been disappointed! more
