The Nook. I visited Jupiter in April 2012 and thought I would skip the free hotel breakfast and try out a local place. I did this on the first day I was in town, for the rest of the week I ate at The Nook. Every morning. If I needed to wait for a table, it was worth it. I sat at the counter or booth or anyplace they could fit me. \r

First, the atmosphere. It is a small space. A few booths against one wall, tables in the middle and counter you can sit at. They turn over pretty quick. The wall decor, knick knacks and signs are amusing and well placed. The place is clean, well maintained and they represent their Philadelphia teams.\r

The Staff. It's a family/friend run shop. Mother, Kids, her friends. They are talkative, pleasant, welcoming and have positive attitudes. If you don't have a positive attitude, leave the bad one at the door. I can't say enough about the people who work there, by the second day they knew us. Always smiling and a pleasure. Coffee cup was never left empty, they checked in on food, extras, etc and are reason enough to visit.\r

The Food. Wow. Blackened Shrimp and Cheese Grits. Phenomenal. The grits were perfect, the shrimp large and not overcooked, the bacon gravy didn't have a fatty feel. Big Heap. This was my favorite. Potato's, eggs, bacon, sausage gravy - was a breakfast that had me skip lunch. Filling and perfect. The Billdozer - huge pancakes, eggs, bacon - all cooked perfect. I tried the Boss Hog burger, the Pizza (if you go in the afternoon, their pizza is excellent!), The Mahi Mahi Rueben. They had a cheeseburger soup special one day they put over an omelet for me, was also excellent. They had good coffee and offered Mimosa's and a few other drinks if you wanted. When i sat at the counter one morning, I was able to look into their kitchen. I worked line cook for a few years, The Nook has it down to a science. The crew in the back are just as hard working and fluid as the crew out front.\r

I can honestly say that in my 35+ years of visiting Florida, this is BY FAR my favorite place I've ever had breakfast. The atmosphere, people and food were something I will go back time and again anytime I am within an hour of Jupiter!
