Worst

He is very abrupt.. spends less than five minutes in exam room with you and doesn't want to listen to anything that takes more than three sentences. Then he's out, ordering tests...

Don't Express Concerns or Question Him 4/14/2011

He may be a good doctor, but his communication skills are apalling! His nurse sent incorrect and incomplete information with my 91 year old Mother to take to the lab for tests and x-rays. She also scheduled her for the wrong procedure at the surgery center. When I told him about the nurse's mistakes, he reacted with the most extreme condecending, rude, unreasonable, and uncommonly defensive behavior I have ever witnessed . If you want a dismissive, uncaring doctor with no people skills, he's a great choice. more

Very Kind and Compassionate Physician 12/28/2009

I have been taking my mother to see Dr. Pearce for years. He is very patient and caring. He listens to her and is very knowledgeable. I would not think of taking her to see any one but Dr. Pearce. We have referred several of our friends and family to him for treatment. He diagnosed colon cancer on a young friend of ours who was having some abdominal pain and she is doing great. more

very compassionate and timely 12/26/2009

Dr. Pearce has been taking care of me for a long time. He is always timely and demonstrates compassion in his dealings with me. He speaks to me in plain English and really makes me feel that I am heard when I have a question. Pros: he takes the time I need to be heard more

Expect a very long wait 5/12/2009

I showed up on time for my 10am appointment, after waiting for over an hour, I asked if I was in que. I was still behind another three patients. So, I cancelled my appointment. Several others in the waiting room were overheard complaining about the long wait for their 9:15am appointments. It appears this is common for him - lack of respect for patient's time. I'll find another specialist that knows how to schedule appointments properly. Cons: Poor scheduling practice more

Be prepared to wait and don't question him. 2/6/2009

I arrived on time for my appointment and then waited an hour to see him. When I asked if this was normal, he told me to get out of his office. I approached him at the counter and asked why I couldn't ask. He said he didn't like the way I asked it. more

thank you for your review of Dr. Pearce. I almost made a HUGE mistake of calling his office. My one requirement of a good doctor is to please listen to what I have to say. After all, they are getting paid the big bucks and we are trusting them with our lives. more

He is very abrupt.. spends less than five minutes in exam room with you and doesn't want to listen to anything that takes more than three sentences. Then he's out, ordering tests, etc. Excellent technician as for as procedures i.e ercp, colonoscopies, gastro scopes, etc. but just does not want to spend any time talking to you and especially doesn't want to hear you talk.. Very condescending and makes you feel kind of stupid. Will never go back to him again.. more
