As others before me have said; BUYER BEWARE!! Actually just avoid this place altogether. Kal is a con-man and the gold chain he rocks around his neck proves it. In a world of so much compotation from the internet, you would think that places like this would be out of business. He will take your families money, as he did mine, and have no interest in helping out in a situation. Let me rephrase that, he will help, but it will only cost you more of your family's hard earned money.\r \r We needed a new motor for our older Rainbow vacuum; I called Kal in October to see if he had one and a ballpark figure for price, he quoted me around $100, which was CHEAP, even compared to prices online for the motor. About 2 weeks later we stopped in and talked to Kal, he had a motor that was pretty similar in shape and size, however it cost us $322 to take it out of the store. He indeed wrote the ""No Refunds or Exchanges"" on the bottom of the hand written receipt, however, he did that AFTER he ran my card for the total bill. I promptly took the motor home and found that it was a newer motor than what we had, so I called him within 2 hours of buying the motor from him, and told him it was not correct. The following Tuesday, I took him my old motor so he could research the part and find the right one. He called me back a few days later and said that the motor that I needed was going to be $500. At this point I knew we were in for a ride, there was no way we were going to pay $500+ to fix this machine. I asked him if we could use the money already paid towards a new vacuum, and he was willing to do that. Now in the first half of November, still no vacuum, I called to see if we could come in to discuss our options, he was, ""Not in the country and unavailable to be contacted until the 24th of November"". So we went in to the shop to get our motors, the kid he left in charge was unable to make any kind of decision, and at one point couldn't find either one of our motors, as we were about to leave he did find our old on and gave it to us, but we were still without our new motor, OR our $322. While in the store, I noticed the price that this Lebanese con-artist was charging for his vacuums, upwards of $600+ for an old style bagged vacuum, this is why he agreed to the exchange, more money in his pocket. At that point, we needed a vacuum in a bad way, so I went and spend a good amount on a new vacuum. On the 25th Kal's sidekick that was watching over the cesspool store called me and told me that it was okay to do the exchange, he had heard from Kal. I told him that I had already purchased another vacuum, and wanted my money back for the motor; he said that I would have to talk to Kal. So that brings us to today, the first week of December, I went in to the store to talk with Kal about a refund, and he said that there were no refunds, and began to bad mouth my decision to purchase a vacuum elsewhere. I explained to him we had no options, we have two children that are asthmatic's and the 3 of the four of us suffer from allergies, and we needed to get a vacuum. He was not understanding, and said that there were no refunds, and then had the audacity to give me a broacher for a new vacuum. \r \r Please, don't shop at this establishment; they have no interest in providing a service to you or your family. They are absolutely worthless, and should be ashamed of their business practices. more

I dropped off my Dyson DC25 vacuum to get the hose repaired. I paid $35.00 up front then another $44.85 when I picked it up. I got it home tried to use it and it immediately broke. For $79.85 it was just glued together which obviously didn t hold. I ordered a new hose through eBay for 35.95 (free shipping). $79.85 was an outrages price to pay for this repair that didn t work! When I picked up my Dyson the owner tried to sell me a Dirt Devil handheld vacuum for $89.00. I found and bought the same model Dirt Devil on eBay for $51.98 with free shipping. I wish I would have read the reviews on this place and shopped eBay before going to Centennial Vacuum. They will not refund my money! I can't believe they have an A+ rating with BBB! more

Dishonest, overpriced and downright scary! 10/21/2011

BEWARE!!! They sold me an old sewing machine for waaaay more than what similar models were going for on Craigslist and Ebay. They seemed so nice and trustworthy that I bought it without doing research first. Recently I took it in to see why it wasn't working properly and they told me there would be a diagnostic fee of $165 which would be applied to the repair which they assured me probably wouldn't cost much more than that. I thought that was waaay too much money to give up front, and sure enough the price came down to $95. Still more than I wanted to pay. I was assured that the repair would not cost much more only to find out later, they would ask for almost $100 more! At this point I did what I should have done n the first place. I called several other repair shops to find out they were charging $25 and $40 diagnostic fees and doing similar repairs for $50 for a grand total of less than $100. When I called the owner Cal to inform him of my findings, he hung up on me! Now he has my $100 and my sewing machine! Isn't this called robbery? more
