Take a tour down Sleepytime Drive. What you will find is the Celestial Seasonings factory, tea sampling shop, gift shop, and more.
My family drove to Boulder, CO from our home in Denver, one Saturday to see what Celestial Seasonings was like. We got there that morning, and we were one of the first tourists/customers to arrive.
We browsed the gift shop first. It had nearly all the teas that they make, plus Sleepytime collector's teapots, mugs, bears, postcards, magnets, posters, and more.
From the gift shop we went to sample some of the teas. The sampling room had tables and chairs, artwork from Celestial Seasoning's artists, as well as plenty of room to walk around. Two hot teas and two iced teas were already prepared for sampling, in very large dispensers. Also there were crackers to sample, especially for kids. There was a small bar set up to add sweetener or milk to your tea. We tasted them all, and we each had a favorite tea.
Around the corner, still inside that building, was a video room where we (and others in the group) watched the 15 minute video of Celestial Seasoning's start and their current products.
We didn't take the factory tour, since we had our 2-year-old daughter with us. Children under 5 are not allowed inside the factory, as the tour actually goes inside the factory and tourists must stay behind certain lines at all times for safety.
So, instead of the tour, we went back to the gift shop and bought a few items, one of which is a Sleepytime poster for my daughter's room.
I would like to visit Celestial Seasonings again anytime. It is a wonderfully happy place that may get you to be more interested in drinking tea, like it did for us. And I fell in love with the Sleepytime Bear.
