Sleepytime Drive 6/13/2006

Take a tour down Sleepytime Drive. What you will find is the Celestial Seasonings factory, tea sampling shop, gift shop, and more. My family drove to Boulder, CO from our home in Denver, one Saturday to see what Celestial Seasonings was like. We got there that morning, and we were one of the first tourists/customers to arrive. We browsed the gift shop first. It had nearly all the teas that they make, plus Sleepytime collector's teapots, mugs, bears, postcards, magnets, posters, and more. From the gift shop we went to sample some of the teas. The sampling room had tables and chairs, artwork from Celestial Seasoning's artists, as well as plenty of room to walk around. Two hot teas and two iced teas were already prepared for sampling, in very large dispensers. Also there were crackers to sample, especially for kids. There was a small bar set up to add sweetener or milk to your tea. We tasted them all, and we each had a favorite tea. Around the corner, still inside that building, was a video room where we (and others in the group) watched the 15 minute video of Celestial Seasoning's start and their current products. We didn't take the factory tour, since we had our 2-year-old daughter with us. Children under 5 are not allowed inside the factory, as the tour actually goes inside the factory and tourists must stay behind certain lines at all times for safety. So, instead of the tour, we went back to the gift shop and bought a few items, one of which is a Sleepytime poster for my daughter's room. I would like to visit Celestial Seasonings again anytime. It is a wonderfully happy place that may get you to be more interested in drinking tea, like it did for us. And I fell in love with the Sleepytime Bear. more

great tea varieties 4/6/2006

I have always been a big tea drinker. Celestial Seasonings is one of the better brands out there, definitely when it comes to the number of choices you have. I particularly love their chamomile tea as well as their peppermint tea. The teas are never too strong and the flavors are always consistent. I would highly recommend. more

celestial seasonings 4/6/2006

i've just learned to love tea. I was always a big coffee drinker, still am (and non of those crazy coffee drinks - black only here!). When we moved to Colorado, about 10 miles from the Celestial Seasonings headquarters, I learned to re-love tea. There are delicious flavors that come out of this Boulder, CO all-natural plant. I love it. and since lots is caffeine free, I can drink it in the afternoon. more

Take the Tour! 2/21/2006

Young and old alike will enjoy the tea tour at Celestial Seasonings. It is fascinating! Their tour guides know everything there is to know about the product and they will keep you (and your kids) engaged throughout the tour. They will not only show you the marketing and the packaging but will explain the process of making tea. It is interesting to learn how it must be stored, but beware the mint room--it will clear out your sinuses for sure! Watching the boxes of tea rolling along the conveyors a the end of the tour is most mesmerizing. Be sure to save enough time to browse in their gift shop--for it offers a wide variety of tea-related items and more. Pick up some tea to take home and you'll have spent a delightful afternoon. more
