Was critical of this church in the beginning, but after attending for some time now, I know that the pastor's teaching is legit. Music is great, stage is eye appealing. Not that it's required but makes for a great show for people who have never been or wanted to go to church. Preaching is truthful and not sugar coated but not harsh. You walk out feeling like you learned something for sure. The teams i.e. music, youth, etc. all help tear down the church at the end of the services and from what I hear- they come in at 8am to set it all up the day before?! Now that's what I call heart. IDK where Mark Holdren is coming from but there's gonna be hypocrites in every church- if you haven't met any it's because they're just better at hiding. I'm not into judging people, I'm into judging myself. This church is awesome- has taught me a lot and the praise and worship has taught me how to go deeper in my relationship with God. (didn't know music could do that to you eh?) ps. the church is now called Celebration Church Salinas and they have a website I think it's celebrationchurchsalinas dot cc (it wouldn't let me write a period symbol so I just wrote ""dot"" lol) AND they're moving to a new building soon- the Century 7 movie theater on Simas St. whoa!! more

Beware this particular Church as they have men in Ministry who are habitual adulterers. Vulnerable married women need be vigilant there. Pros: Some Godly people Cons: Allowing Godless adulterer to pastor men. more

You can definitely feel the presence of God at CWC! (Formerly Oak Park Community Church). Their Saturday evening and (2) Sunday services are now held at Santa Rita Elementary School (so parking is better now). Various services for kids (grouped by age). The Lord is seriously moving through CWC - there is a lot of community action taking place. This is where I go to worship and praise when I'm in Salinas. Their mid-week services and classes are still held at the former location; additionally they have men's and women's Bible study groups and activities. The music is highly energetic - you'll be ""dancing like David"" before you know it. The Word is presented straight - if the Lord moves these pastors to give a message, they are not going to give it timidly. I have seen the Spirit take over - complete surrender. If you are looking for a church and pastoral staff that puts God before themselves, then you must check out this Christ-centered place of celebration! Great place to worship God. Pastor's are awesome and wonderful! Worship is great! Youth group is awesome as well. I encourage you to visit! I would visit but I live far far away.. But I miss this place very much! You must visit this place if you are searching for a closer relationship with God as well as seeking a more intimate relationship with God.
