Celebration Cinema 11/14/2006

Have you been to a movie lately? We have Celebration Cinema here in our area. If you go to www.celebrationcinema.com and choose your area, you can see what movies are playing without calling and listening to a recording that you have to replay over and over again. They have several promotions that they have going on at different times of the year and some that are all year round. If you use your Big Screen Movie Club card when purchasing tickets and treats, you earn points for free tickets and free food. You can earn free popcorn for signing up for the newsletters. Our local radio station CFX 95.3 has a promotion on Sundays for the 95 cent movie of the week. For children, celebration cinema runs the Dove Family Film Festival where during a certain time period they run showings of certain movies for the week and you can take your child to see the movie. The child gets in for free and the adult pays $2.50. I really like this place as a kid and family friendly place to take them to see movies. more

Nice new theater 8/8/2006

It's a great new cineplex, auditorium seating and comfortable seats. Food is good, and it's bright and clean. However, it is pricey - but then what theater isn't these days. What is nice is they offer a frequent movie goers club and discounted movies on Sunday in partnership with 95 CFX. more

Celebration Cinema 8/6/2006

I frequent this theater several times a month. Sometimes it's alone, sometimes with friends or family, and sometimes with kids. I've always been impressed with how clean the theater is. The floors are picked up in between every showing of a movie, and I've never encountered the dreaded "sticky foot", so I know they clean it well. One thing I do not enjoy with them is their weekday food. During the weekend, food items are sold so quickly that they do not have a chance to go stale. During the week, items such as pretzel's are often left sitting far too long, resulting in a rock hard stale item. I think they should have a policy in hand to discard unsold items after a certain amount of time. If it is an item that does not sell as well, then perhaps they should limit it to making it on demand, instead of allowing it to sit and go stale. The prices have gone up, as well, which bothers me to some degree. It can be quite expensive to take a family to the theater these days. I would love if they offered a family special on certain days for the kids movies. Overall, though, I enjoy going to that theater. It is clean and well maintained, and they try to fix problems that arise as quickly as they are able. more

Nice clean theater 1/11/2006

This place is a newer stadium seating style theater. It has 10 or 11 theaters and they are usually fairly empty for most shows that didn't just open up that weekend. The prices just went up by $1 but thats okay because they are still cheaper compared to most urban cities. Prices are around $7.50. more
