Cedar Falls Raceway

I have been going to this track for a very long time and with this last weekend being the first Night of Fire with new owners, they did not make a good impression, at least to me and all the people I was with. If this is to show how things will go from now on we might have to rethink our yearly trip there with our family and friends...I loved this track and have always had a great time but I hope things get fixed. The bathrooms were closed and only had port-a-pottys with no handwashing station, for people staying all weekend thats disgusting. The bathrooms have never been closed before so we expected them to be open or else we could have planned otherwise. Where we parked became a big issue, and VERY RUDE workers at the gate after the show was canceled!! Just because you got bitched at my everyone else does not mean you take it out on us!!! ITS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! When you choose to work there you have to DEAL WITH IT!!! more

The Cedar Falls Raceway is indeed located in Janesville, but the 15 minute drive is certainly worth it. You don't have to race to enjoy the scenery. The drag strip features very smooth track, as well as a nice tower, burnout box, and bleacher seating. The time displays and christmas trees are also nice. The snack bar leaves a little to be desired, but the employees are very passionate about cars and contributed to the fun of the experience. It seems odd to be placed in the middle of corn fields, but I think it adds to the sureal feeling of racing! more

This is something unique for the Cedar Valley. I am not a big fan of this style of racing, but if you like drag racing, this is the place to be. They must draw a lot of people, because in the summer months, you see many cars being hauled out to that area. It is located on old highway 218 going to Waverly from Cedar Falls. more
