How funny: This place is listed in Citysearch as a hotel, but it's a restaurant. The Cedar Creek in Laguna Niguel is head and shoulders above the other Cedar Creeks I've been to (Palm Springs and Laguna Beach). The food is superb and the service is excellent. They have a great caesar salad, delicious meatloaf, and the best soup I've ever had--but I can't remember exactly what it was called: It was kind of green and very creamy with chicken in it. Very, very good! I've also had the ahi and the macaroni and cheese, which were both fantastic. I recommend sitting at the bar or requesting a table on the patio. (The main dining room gets kind of noisy.) It's kind of pricey but well worth it. It's nice enough that you can dress up without looking overdressed, but you also can go casual. This area needed another good restaurant!
Pros: Nearly everything
Cons: Slightly noisy
