Exterior/Interior renovation/remodel. Throughout the job CDK tried to not follow Specifications or standard building Codes - we had to call them on these games all the time. Too many examples to list all: did not properly flash windows - we hired a Consultant to teach them how to do basic flashing and still not correct; installed cedar siding so that it touches roof & metal flashing & will rot-out soon and, used nails that quickly rusted and hundreds can be seen all over the house; installed crooked exterior trim; did not pour sidewalk to meet City Code in many ways; did not use any paint primer on Fir trim; tried to duct tape shower pan liner to the outside of the shower wall lining allowing for water penetration and did not install liner correctly and ruined a lot of marble tile with black marker; poured front porch/stairs/landings using the wrong concrete which was also too old to work with and poured the landings crooked- demolished this then poured a second porch that did not meet Specs or Code (e.g. water pools and ices on landings and steps, chunks of concrete came off all the risers on the steps which were then filled with an awful looking concrete that does not remotely match); cut the tops off of new doors which are now crooked due to lack of knowledge regarding proper door painting and installation techniques; very poor paint job on all windows (e.g., no paint primer used or even paint in some areas and raw wood exposed to exterior); These issues do not meet standard building practices or State/City Code. Too many times they tried to use inferior building materials or practices, materials we did not want or had not yet specified, or tried not to do required work - trying to have them correct these issues, if caught in time, was a huge ordeal. They continually delayed our job. HELP -they took our dream and turned it into a living nightmare for one year - shocked anyone could treat other people like this. Come by and see.
