Nu Cavu was not a very good dining experience for me. My boyfriend and I were seated, were served our drinks, and sat for over an hour waiting for our food. People who came in after us were completely served before us. The manager was coming around asking everyone how everything was, but skipped us because she knew we were unhappy waiting for our food. It wasn't until I started to take out my wallet to throw $10 on the table for the wine and grabbed my keys, that the manager apparently saw this and we got our food. My boyfriend's lobster was cool, and he got a much smaller portion of steak on his surf & turf than the table next to us (who also came in after us). My pork chops were fine at best, and the side portions were very small for the price. We used to love the old Cavu, however due to this experience we are not planning on going back. I do not know if it was the fault of the kitchen staff or our waiter, but at least he was nice enough to give us two free glasses of wine. We still had a $60 bill for two mediocre meals and 2 glasses of wine.
