Okay, calling a restaurant that does not serve American food ""authentic"" (whether it is chinese, italian, brazilian, zimbabwian- whatever) has become somewhat of a fad, and, in my humle opinion, way overused. Too many people have no idea what they are talking about, and hence, most of these assessments have been plainly wrong (for example, if I have to hear one more time that Maggianos is ""authentic"" Italian food, I may have to inflict bodily harm upon the person who says it...). Having said this and also stated that I have been to Italy on about ten occasions in my life so far, I COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE PIZZA AT THIS PLACE IS TRULY A-U-T-H-E-N-T-I-C! Italian!!!! The difference between their pizza here in good ole' DFW and the pies I have eaten in restaurants in Rome, Milan, Pisa, Florence, Verona (?) etc. is so minuscule, that one can actually use this overused predicate and not feel bad about it...
Pros: try the pizza- you will agree :)
Cons: not the nicest atmosphere
