Causey Law Offices has more than 25 years of practicing law and building a reputation for providing ethical, effective and efficient legal representation. That reputation, along with Bill's deep knowledge of criminal law, are the main reasons why he is a North Carolina State Bar board-certified state and federal criminal defense attorney, a distinction that few other North Carolina lawyers hold. Although a large part of our practice is devoted to DWI cases, Bill regularly handles cases from speeding tickets all the way up to homicide cases. To date he has handled 78 First-Degree Murder cases, with many involving the death penalty, which are the most complex and stressful cases an attorney can handle. Bill has tried capital murder trials, during his more than 25 years of practice, in High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheboro, and Lexington. As you can see, although he handles all types of criminal cases such as speeding tickets, DWI and driving revoked cases, shoplifting and theft cases, drug offenses, assaults, robberies; Bill will not hesitate to take the most complicated and difficult case a lawyer can handle, a First-Degree Capital Murder case, and go anywhere in the state of North Carolina and “put 12 jurors in the box” and try the case to verdict. In 1991, Bill repented the defendant in the State of North Carolina v D. Combs, the infamous “coma case”. His client was found NOT GUILTY of attempted murder and Bill later appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. Located across from Festival Park (off 68)
