Catskill Game Farm Inc

At this park, you get up close and personal with the animals. Deer, goats, and other animals roam the park, with you get to feed them. They have over 2000 animals here. Young kids may be a little frightened. There are not too many parks like this, so don't miss out. The whole family will enjoy this place. more

I have been going to the Catskill Game Farm since before I could walk. Here I am 27 years later taking my own boys. I still love it! The animals, rides & shows are great. Although they aren’t as good as they once were, they still keep it entertaining. My favorite exhibit was always the Big Cats, but they no longer have them. Regardless, I will continue the tradition of our annual trips to the Catskill Game Farm. more

This a great place for a day trip. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive for what is offered but you can go online, catskillgamefarm.com, and print out a coupon for a free admission. Otherwise it's Adults: $17.95 Children age 4-11: $12.95 It is a small zoo but the animals are out and easy to see. We went on a hot day and thought that they would all be hiding as in the case of the Bronx Zoo but they weren't. They were out. There is an area with rides but it is for small children. They also have a sprinkler area to play in along with slides, swings and a sand box. There is a train ride for an additional 1.75 per person. There is also a small circus that is free. There are a few places to eat and the food isn't bad. There's a nice picnic area and wagons are offered so we brought our cooler with lunch and drinks and it was easy to cart around. It's very nice. Oh and becareful in the baby petting zoo - I had my daughter in a carrier and they went for her toes - I ended up running out of there before they got to her. :) more
