We had my Mom's 80th birthday party here and it could not have been better! The staff was awesome, the food was great and the atmosphere was everything we wanted and more. They let us come in early to decorate and had all the things we needed to make it perfect. From an extra table for pictures and cake to tablecloths. This place was so much better than going to a hall and the staff could not have been more acommodating. We had the room on the water and it was so nice. My mom was so happy and all of our guests loved the place. We have visited here for dinner before and was really pleased so choosing it for our party was a no brainer. I would recommend Catches for lunch, dinner and especially for parties! Its awesome! Our thanks to everyone there who made it so special. more

My hubby and I had lunch there at the tiki bar. We were seated immediately given menus. We ordered our drinks and spinich dip. The drinks came in 5 minutes and the dip was there in 7! Wonderful dip by the way! The server didnt get irritated when I couldnt make up my mind and she also didnt hover, which I detest! I had the steak salad and he had a wrap. The only complaint was too many fries with his wrap, lol. The manager checked on us before we left and was actually interested in what we thought and not just killing time. The bar was clean, music and atmosphere was wonderful and not too loud. All together, We loved it and went back with our kids on friday after that! Give it a try, its worth it! chosen for wedding dinner for 60 because very few restaurants in the area offer private dining rooms. was asured after several meetings with management that our needs would be met. Turned out to be an embarrassing disaster. No set up done upon guests arrival. Only 2 people to serve and do bar orders. Food cold. salad soggy. guests missed on serving. wedding cake butchered. no coffee served. Horrible from start to finish. Cons: food so-so, service poor, unable coordinate large party more

Belligerent cook, who I think is also the owner. Comes right out to the table and belittles people who complain. Quality of food was OK, but sure scant on servings. I ordered the Captains Platter with a baked potato priced at $21.95. After waiting quite a while for the food the waiter came and told us there was only one baked potato and our party of four had each ordered one, I then switched to fries, I got 7 french fries, three shrimp, three scallops 1 crab cake and a piece of fish. Not really the place to go. They also don't honor the prices on their menu, ordered clams at 7.95 and billed 11.95 Pros: Nice view, nice building Cons: management sucks more

Recently celebrated a birthday there, I was reluctant to do so because of the reviews I read. I can only say I am glad I listened to some one who had eaten there. The food was excellent , the service was superb Thanks to servers Angie & Kenny. We didn't lack for anything, they were right on top of it. Their was 15 adults and 9 kids aged 7 to 15. I called for and had a confirmed reservation for christmas eve ay 6. The restaurant closed at five. My father who is 83 and has a heart condition was quite upset. When i called the restaurant and told them what happened they did not even apologize! They acted like it was no big deal that we had no place to eat! more

We just got back from Catches New Tiki Bar. The steak bits were raw, the chips and salsa were covered in oil. The service was terrible. We had to have the waitress correct the check three times (over charges). Finally we just ate the six dollar overcharge just to get out. The other two couples with us had a similar food and service experience as did the table behind us. STAY AWAY. Pros: Nice tiki bar Cons: poor service and food more

I have come back to Catches every time I'm in Florida. The restaurant is immaculate and tastefully decorated like a beachfront eatery. Food has never been bad. I treat the family for birthdays and welcome back to Florida celebrations! Pros: great seafood-great service-great atmosphere Cons: a little pricey but worth it more

I have been here three times and twice had a bad experience. Do not believe any of their promotions because there is more fine print than they show you. Both times I came for promotional deals, I ended up spending twice as much for food that was NOT worth it. The managers are extremely rude and are not willing to make your dining experience pleasurable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY here! more

My $18.99 captain's platter contained 3 shrimp and 3 scallops with the fish and crab cake - don't waste your money on this tasteless choice. The salad was way past it's prime and the croutons were very stale. My husband's mahi mahi was overdone and chewy. Maybe no effort was made because we were the only customers there on a Saturday for lunch. Our waiter was nice and he kept the drink refills coming. We own a waterfront vacation rental in Holiday, FL When we are in town my husband, son and I always go out of our way to eat at Catches. I am very picky about where I eat due to my germ phobia! Catches is very clean and tastefully decorated, they've decorated the bar area with captains chairs similar to those on a fishing boat. We've enjoyed every meal so far, I loved the delicious new portabella sandwich, my 5 yr old loved the fancy mac and cheese. On our last visit our waiter treated us like celebrities! He even offered to take photos of our family, as did the hostess on our way out (who also promptly seated us upon arrival). Very friendly staff, our waiter checked on us often. Their outdoor area is limited and the views are obstructed by an overpass on one side and the casino ship on the other. I wish they offered a ""family friendly area outdoors"" for non-smoking families with children who do not wish to eat their meal sitting in a cancer cloud! We would have given a 5 star rating if not for this issue. Overall we were very pleased with our last visit. Catches was a wonderful first date experience and the staff was happy, smiling and attentative to our needs. We even had a guy make me balloon flowers!!! We enjoyed the Coconut Shrimp most of all of the things we ordered. I read a review about ""if you are a minority"" don't go to Catches.... Well, I'm African American and I was treated no differently than anyone else at the restaurant. People stared when we came in and were being seated because people are naturally ""people watchers"". Catches is vary open-space and I ""stared"" too as people came in or were seated. Had a great time and would go again and again. Pros: Open and friendly. Great for People watching while dining. Cons: not enough ambiance. Need to ""warm the place up"" with darker colors in the decor. more

We ate at Catches the other night. First of all, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got seated very quickly. The view is gorgous if you like a romantic view of the water. This is the perfect place for celebrating any special occasion. While you're there, try the Lobster Ravioli, it was absolutely delicious. I have never had anything like it. I would recommend this place to everyone. more
