My greyhound, Alice, has been going to Catalina Pet Hospital for as long as she's been with me (2 years). Greyhounds can be pretty finicky when it comes to their body's physiological processes (anesthesia is particularly risky in greys), and physical make-up (Alice has pierced her own tongue, broken her tail, ripped out her toenails at least 4 times, sprained her toe, and tends to have muscular pain in one of her shoulders). Even with this 'lemon' of a dog, Dr. Maus understands all the quirks of being an ex-racing greyhound, and addresses all of my concerns without over-diagnosing any of Alice's mishaps. Generic brands of doggie pills are always offered, the front desk staff will make every effort to accommodate your busy schedule, and there are two other veterinarians present (so it's easy to get a quick second opinion, if needed). And, of course, Alice is put into a curious trance every time the resident kitty makes her pass!
