Catalina Beach House

I don't have much to compare this too on the island, but we were very happy with our upgraded room with a view of the harbor. Had a kitchen and a huge spa tub as well. more

We found a great deal on a room at the Catalina Beach House and spent two nights there in a very quaint room right on the patio. Because it was so small, it had the feeling of being in a boat cabin, which we thought was cute. Even though it was very small, it had a kitchenette and a king size bed that took up almost the entire room. And the bed was absolutely the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in anywhere, including at home. more

We got a package for $299.99 that included: Two nights in Unit ""B"" (Excellent), two RT Ferry tickets (as seniors it would have been $68 ea. RT), 2 1-Hr Segway tours (an hr. runs $42 ea.), two tickets to the museum ($5 ea.), two tickets to the Arboretum and the night Ghost tour, we didn't do the last two. But What a great deal! The room was clean, we loved the kitchenette, the front porch deck was great for sunning, a picnic, or just enjoying watching the little village below. The deck backs up on a nice well-wooded canyon. I feel truly blessed to have gotten this deal. We appreciated that the check-in was at the sister hotel Hermosa Inn at beach level. They have a new 3 seat golf cart to move you up to the house, the staff was friendly, and informative. We got in early to the room and after check out we stored our gear at the Hermosa Inn until the pm ferry to Dana Pt. boarded. I couldn't imagine a better cottage experience. more

I have to say, this hotel really made my trip to Catalina. When booking, Scotty set us up with a fantastic deal, including boat trips back and forth as well as two nights in the Beach House. These guys prices and quality of service really can't be beat anywhere else on the island. We took the Catalina Express from Long Beach, and had called ahead to let the hotel what time our boat would be heading over. We had made a small oversight in not having a ride planned out for when we reached Catalina, but Scotty from the hotel was ready to impress. Minutes after arriving at the dock, as my family and I were confusedly looking around wondering how we would get to our hotel, Scotty called us on our cell phone to make sure we had arrived safely, and to let us know he would be heading down with the free hotel shuttle right away. Moments later, he pulled up in his golf cart ""limo"" and took us straight to our rooms. The rooms themselves were clean, smelled good, had everything we needed from a stove and a jacuzzi tub, to air freshener and silverware. Also, using the ""bat phone"" located at the front of the office, any time I needed anything or had any sort of concern, the staff was no more than five minutes away, and eager to resolve any of my issues, day or night. Also, because we traveled in November, the property was essentially empty except for my family and I , and we enjoyed private use of the grill, patio, deck, and garden area. The staff here at the Beach House is pretty spectacular, and made my first trip to Catalina one to remember. They were always ready with great local suggestions on where to eat, where to get the best deals, and all of the local hot spots. Not only WILL I stay with Catalina Beach House Hotel again, but I can hardly to wait to get back there and enjoy the property once more. Definitely a great place to enjoy the beautiful island of Catalina. more

Really couldn't say more for the views, the staffing, the overall feel good feeling when staying at the Catalina Beach House!\r \r Small and quaint but I could still make a meal in my room and save a few bucks not eating downtown every meal. The patio is a great place to socialize while BBQ'ing!\r \r Had a great time and anything I needed was just a call to the front desk away.\r \r Thanks Guys we had a blast! more

The management here is more then helpful , The manager was very accommodating to meet my stay here. The location is perfect over looking the Great Pacific . I couldn't ask for a more relaxed room with everything in walking distance. more

super cute we loved it, it is up a pretty steep hill its no big deal until youve had a bit too much to drink haha, the staff was very helpful, thanks mindy! more
