Castro Valley Florist

I have had 2 experiences with this florist lately. First my mother and I went down to the shop to buy an arrangement for a friend. The shop was full of the most horrible pre-made arrangement, 15 all the same and completely out dated. We asked to have one made which seemed to annoy the girl to no end, no matter what we wanted all she wanted to do was carnations and kept pushing them. Now Tuesday I received an arrangement from them from a friend and it didn't even show up looking good. One flower was broken and hanging off and another already brown. By the next morning 3 more had split off and by today all but 1 flower has either broken or turned brown! Flowers should make it to day 1,2&3 no problem!!! This florist has gone down hill fast! more

I needed a special arrangement for my Grandmothers 85th birthday. I was so impressed with what I left with. They were gorgeous! I told them what the flowers were for and they actually seemed a bit touched. I feel like they put that little extra something in. I would have liked to have seen a larger variety of flowers, but I couldn't have been happier with my selection. more

castro valley florist always has \r fesh arrngments when you are in a rush.\r The people that work there are really nice and cutris. If they see help is needed to take any arrngment out to some ones car the will gladly hepe you. :-] more

Castro Valley florist is a really nice shop their flowers are always really fresh and last really long. The people their are raelly nice and funny. Also if a dilivery can not be mad there at the shop because they do not diliver at that location they gladly help you fined a shop in that location that would happly do it for you when they do fined the shop that can take the diliery they place the dilivery in for you. more

I showed up at Castro Valley Florist at 4:15pm to see if they could have a pre-arranged arrangement delivered to an address 1 block away (Wisteria). The girl helping me said "No it's too late, our driver just left"... From there I went 2 blocks down the street to The Flower Kottage 2626 Castro Valley Blvd and she called her driver back to handle the delivery and assured that it would be there in an hour. It is that kind of customer service that will continue to make people go from CV Florist to The Flower Cottage. I don't care how long you have been in business, it's customer service or the lack of that will keep me from ever doing business with Castro Valley Florist. more

What can I say about this place. I ordered flowers for my husband on Valentines Day. The customer service was aweful and well, they had people taking orders who did not speak english themselves. That should been a red flag for me. My husband gets the flowers but here is the kicker. They no only screwed up the message on the card, they spelled my name wrong! Can you belive that? It wasnt just missing a letter, it was a completely different name. The following day, I call and speak to the manager. Her resolution for solving the problem..."i can send him a new card" Mind you she chuckles. Here is the problem I am having. I spent a good $80 with this company adn the least they could do is get the message on the card right. She said, well I had a few hispanic girls working with me that day. Nothing i can do about that and I certainly can't pinpoint who wrote the card. Cons: Sorry all con's for this place-worst customer service more

I went to get flowers for my friend who had just given birth. The style of floral design they do is very old-fashioned and kind of behind the times. Still making use of beastly things like carnations. The arrangement cost $50 and was not much better than I could have gotten at a Safeway.\r \r Good floral design at that price should include flowers I cannot get at a gas station. more

I ordered the flowers for Mothers Day to be delivered on Saturday, my mom calls me and lets me know that they were delivered on Friday. I called the owner and she said they were telling people that they may get delivered later, I pointed out that I placed the order via the internet and there is nothing on their site stating that flowers can be delivered when convienient to them. She told me pretty much "oh well". I am a single mom and spending 50.00 on flowers is a giant luxury that I could not afford already, the fact that they were not even delivered on the promised day makes it worse.\r \r I grew up in this town, but I wont ever use them again. I would not recommend this florist. The owner (Jeri) is extremely and unbelievably rude! I tried to order flowers via telephone, but was greeted with a bad attitude and rude behavior. Not only would she not grant the internet price advertised, she spoke with a condescending tone, yelled at me, then hung up on me, TWICE. When I tried to call back, thinking that out connection was lost, she hung up on me again. Very rude indeed! I AM GLAD TO HAVE NOT GIVEN THEM ANY BUSINESS - YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. Castro Valley Florist is MY florist. I buy all of the flowers there - they are always really fresh, they smell intoxicating and they always look great and last the longest! more

Parking is great but the pricing is really aweful! Sometimes the price you pay may be up to 70 dollars for something that could easily be very cheaper. They do deliver though and that is the really great thing. Other delivery services are more expensive! Arrangments are nice and staff is usually friendly. more

I've always liked this florist. They can make pretty much anything you can imagine, and they're friendly, and they're really good at helping clueless people select things when they have a vague image in mind of what they want but don't REALLY know what they're after. They're really very helpful. more
