I would Never live in these apartments again. Mainly because of the office staff are so RUDE and have the attitude that everyone are liars. Even when moving out I went by the office on a lunch break that I usually don't get due to the type of work I do. I went to sign the papers to move out and I told her that I was sorry I wasn't able to come by sooner than I did. She replied everyone gets a lunch break its the law, with a very snide attitude. I replied that I am a surgical tech and I don't think patients would like it if we just took breaks when they are under in an emergency surgery. Even with my husband tried to tell them we had black mold growing under the sink in our girls room they very rudely told him he was lying. The staff is so unprofessional and rude. On the other hand the apartments are good size for a two bedroom but it is very cheaply kept up it is painted in a FLAT white paint that shows everything and the cabinets are particle board that you can tell at least the apartment I lived in that there has been flooding issues since all the cabinets had water damage. during our stay the upstairs drawers to the sink completely fell apart in both rooms and the maintenance took the pieces and some how rigged it back together using the same pieces....Oh and our electric bill was 250.00 on average a month due to lack of updating and the air conditioning units that were dated before I was born. My family learned the hard way to get what you pay for. more

Good, Inexpensive Living 10/27/2009

I have lived in this neighborhood for 2.5 years. The few times we have had issues with our townhouse, management has had repairs done within a day. You get a lot of space for what you pay in rent and the amenities (although a little bit older) are nice and well cared for. We have had a great experience living here so far as it is a great location and easy/quick to get anywhere! My ONLY complaint is that it is definitly a little bit dark in our home, but I guess thats what lamps are for! Pros: Low Rent/some util included, fast repairs Cons: dark interior more

A Great Place to Live, Close to everything! 1/28/2008

My experience at castlewood was Great! I would definitely recommend! It's placement is close to everything you need and you miss the heavy traffic on Ashley River Rd! more

Easy Transition, Fast Maintenance 11/7/2007

By reading other's comments, they must just be generally unhappy and ungrateful people. Our experience moving to Castlewood Townhouses was exceptional, 50x's better than where we moved from. The staff was friendly and efficient, we got our keys and noticed a few things that needed fixed. We notified the office of these things and within 1 hour the maintenance crew had them all fixed. We have visited with two other tenants here and they were just as pleased with maintenance. One tenant had a flood from the water heater at 6:30am and had it fixed, cleaned, and carpet replaced within a couple of hours. Pros: Good Maintenance, Affordable, Good Neighbors Cons: Not the utmost in luxury, but great for the price. more

There is only one office staff member that could be considered unfriendly, but who cares? Did these other commentators grow up in a sheltered little bubble? I suppose people by nature want to complain about everything, but for my wife and me, moving to Castlewood has been a great experience. To begin w/ the office staff was rude from the moment I walked threw the door. I signed a lease and was given keys to my new place. To begin w/ the carpet was stained in multiple diffrent places w/ BRIGHT colors and smelled strongly of urine, the carpet didn't even reach the carpert runner, water damage in the living room cealing, the toilet downstairs rocks like a rockin chair and the bath tub was leaking. I went back to the office on a friday afternoon, I signed @ 3:30, and got the attitude of well that's to bad. I then went back to the new place where my new neighbor had a flood in there house because my water heater had been leaking. So the first weekend w/ NO hot water. The following Monday afternoon they decided to replace the carpet, but I had to move my furniture out into the street. This is only a nutshell of the GREAT experience w/ a management property that does NOT manage. more

Bad management. Poor grounds upkeep. Tentants safety is of no concern by management. Units are nfested with ants! Low class of people that live there (including staff, figures.) When you live here you will be ashamed to have people visit. Pros: they are bigger than most in that area, pets are allowed Cons: more crime, cant go out at night, dog dump is everywhere more
