Cassey's Optical

Casseys optical is wonderful the receptionist are wonderful. Not only are they answering phones and making appoitments they are also checking people in and out. I notice one does a lot of the testing the blonde woman and the dark hair woman was doing contacts. I also heard them confirming appointments answering ing questions and the optical shop was directing calls to them.\r Its a pretty active front desk. \r \r As i sat waiting for my husband to see the Doctor, ilistened To the girls they were busy and polite. I saw them trying to get people to cooperate in filling out paperwork and if they asked for more specific information people got indignant. When monies were collected people got mad. \r People fail to realize that Drs. offices are also a busness they employee people Pay taxes and have bills to pay also. \r \r I give my hat to the girls who work there. I have aeen patiients walk in late and demand to be seen, i have seen patients who do not want to pay there copays. The majority of people who have no idea what there insurance is and expect the receptionists to know it all. I have actually witnessed someone who thought there insurance covered everything and when was explained in a pleasant manner it did not cover anything but the exam she mumbled under her breathe to her friend that the woman was a snob. In no way was the receptionist a snob just a woman who was trying to explain the womans insurance benefits. \r I have been there a few times in recent weeks for a problem my husband was having and have seen these girls deal compassiontley and with dignity. If i was in there shoes i might have to tell people off.\r \r Unfortunatly the insurance companies are making the most profit doctors who owe student loans are making pennies for their schooling\r I was surprised to learn a contact lens exam was not included in his exam but his benefits were printed out and was shown what they were told to charge by my insurance company. \r \r my husband was new and had to come back to get his contact lens exam because the dr explained it was important to check the health of his eye for glaucoma and any retinal problems. He discovered he had a freckle in the back of his eye. So he had to come back again which i didnt mind since his health of his eye is more important the the contacts.\r \r I would recommend this great place to everyone. It seems to be the people who are complaing want more then there insurance is willing to pay so of course the girls will be called rude if they ask for any money.\r \r Thank you for great service i made appointments for me my mother and my children more

I will not be going back to this eye dr. Tried to support Brookhaven business bc that is where I was born and raised, but unfortunately I was let down. Some of the office staff is rude (not all). And they tried to make me come back for a separate visit for a ""contact fitting"". Pretty much to collect an extra 50$ from me. They could have easily knocked it out during my routine visit. Also, when I asked for my sight prescription to take to another eye dr (who only charges 35$ for contact fitting) they gave me an OLD PRESCRIPTION. Therefore, had to go to new eye dr, TWICE. Thankfully, he was AWESOME and didn't charge me at all for visit. more

This establishment is okay, and I'm stretching it saying that. The receptionist are very rude and snobbish. They behave like everyone that walks in is irritating them, especially the older woman with the long blond hair, I never met any as mean as her. The receptionist alone make me not want to return. The doctors are nice but I'm turned off immediately when i speak to the receptionist. more

I have been going to Cassey's Optical for years. I even moved an hour away and still make the trip to go to them. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices on frames. The eye doctors are always very honest and upfront with you. Pros: price, friendly staff Cons: sometimes I end up waiting awhile to be seen more

My husband and I have Davis Vision Insurance. IF you have it, you'd know what lousy service and selection you get when you walk into an optician's office and you tell them you have Davis Vision. In one store in Media, a lady handed me a box with a bunch of crappy glasses thrown into as if to tell me, ""the regular people get to pick from the shelves, but YOU can have a crappy pair from this box."" Cassey's was not like this at all. They treated me with respect and kindness and they even had a display with many frames to choose from that were in wonderful condition. I found a great pair of fashionable frames with my insurance. The Doctors (both mine and my husband's) were skilled and knowlegable and the office staff friendly. The appointment was on time and I got my glasses in a timely fashion without the extra pressure to buy more options. I highly recommend this store. Pros: service, price, convenience, selection Cons: none that I can think of. more
