My mother in law who has suffered a stroke and had just had a total hip replacement was placed at Cascade for rehab of her new hip. Every time I came to visit i would ask why the wedge that the Surgeon demanded be in place between her knees at all times when in bed was never in place...NEVER. They would just look at me with a blank stare and come up with a new story of why it was again not in place. the lady in the bed next to her said it was never in place unless I complained. then on a Sunday my daughter gets a call from the woman visiting the lady in the bed next to my mother-in-law saying that our mother had fallen and was in tears hurting badly, when my daughter spoke with her grandmother she told her that no one was coming to answer the call button and she was in extreme pain, I then called her surgeon who then called the nurse to have mother transported ASAP to the hospital to have her hip put back in place. I arrived there to get no answers but the run around from everyone that was working, the nurse on duty at the time of the accident was off duty now and the new nurse said she was informed of an incident but didnt really know anything. with her stroke and new hip she was to never be left unattended what so ever.
Pros: appears to be clean and new, dont be fooled by looks
Cons: hip dislocation
