Made a big mistake, but don't you make the same one! Took friends and elderly relatives there 7/04/10 for fun in the countryside. It was a shock and we felt uncomfortable because we weren't prepared for the scenes and vulgar language - something out of the inner city or ""R"" rated movie! We decided to depart and do something else. Too bad a trip to the country packed this surprise. Upon leaving, ""Patrick"" (I guess he's the owner on a golf cart) told me without hesitation - ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS! Apparently, he is practiced and adept at repeating this to many people. I calmly and rationally related that the website portrayed a totally different place, we felt uncomfortable and desired a refund. A peaceful and respectful resolution for both parties. With that, ""Patrick"" who is anything but the kind grand-fatherly type, told me I was a RACIST. No discussion of race was made by me. I perceive ""Patrick"" made this assumption on his own. So the long and short of it was an large amount of cash was paid for me to be insulted. If this is your American Dream on the 4th of July, then you can have it - it sure isn't mine! I guess after paying taxes all my life, never being convicted of a crime, loving God and the USA and being employed all my life serving others regardless of race, creed or color - maybe Patrick is a better person than I am. How easy it is to call someone a name and jump to conclusions. I guess his money from his NO REFUND policy goes to cleaning up the oil crisis, the Red Cross/Salvation Army during Hurricane Katrina, 9/11/01 NYC terrorist attack - like I've contributed to. But I'll bet his joy in life is ripping people off of their hard-earned money on the 4th of July. I receive this type of treatment from a bad-tempered, nasty man who doesn't even understand the first thing about customer service and what it takes to be a good citizen. This place is one of the worst experiences I've ever had and you'd do yourself, family and friends a huge favor to repeat this story to anyone! ROTTEN RIPOFF!
Pros: The drive out there, anticipation of fun, family picnic idea
Cons: Whatever happened to respect of individual freedoms?
