Casablanca Morracan Restaurant

I really enjoy sitting back and relaxing on a couch for a nice leisurely dinner. They bring out a 7 course meal for how ever many guests are with you. You can order special items if you want instead or in addition to what you get. I have found that if you go with 2 people, there is more than enough food, but if you go with an odd number of people they increase the amount of main entrees but not of appetizers, so I have left there hungry. It is fun and on weekends they have belly dancers come out which can be fun. I also take my kids there on occasion and they enjoy eating with their hands and watching the belly dancer. more

Casablanca's is a Moroccan restaurant right off 611. It has a price fixed menu which charges $28 per adult. There are 4 or 5 set courses you can choose between 2 main dishes, 1 choice being a chicken, the other being a lamb dish. There are many interesting things about it, one of which is that you eat basically on a big sofa & lean over coffee tables-where the food is placed. You also get a large towel with which to put on your lap & no utensils-that's right-no fork, knife, or spoon. You better like who you're going there with a lot because you are going to be pulling apart the food & eating with your hands... There are also bellydancers which are fun and add a bit more atmosphere to the elaborate there and decor of the restaurant. Also, you have to BYOB so don't expect drinks unless you bring them yourself. Overall an interesting place everyone should try at least once for the experience. more
