This is my favorite restaurant in the Sacramento area. The food is unbelievably delicious. Served over several courses, the dining experience here is just that - an experience. Expect to spend 2-3 hours here enjoying wonderfully spiced appetizers, salads and main dishes from Morocco, in an environment reminiscent of a beduin tent. You can sit on comfortable cushions on the floor or on the apholstered benches that line the perimeter. While you're eating belly dancers entertain, and they usually get everyone up on their feet for a little dancing once or twice during the evening. All that makes for a wonderful evening out, but the best aspect of Casablanca is the two Drissi brothers who own and operate this establishment. Mourit is the chef, and he takes great pride in the dishes he prepares each night. He'll often come out during the evening and ask you how your food is, explaining some little bit of Moroccan culture about how best to enjoy the dish. His brother is the main server and he's got to be one of the funniest servers I've ever had. They both lend a very warm, family-feel to the entire experience and the restaurant would not be the same without them.
As you can tell, I love this restaurant. I'm sure you will too.
