I went for lunch and it was fantastic. The restaurant is located on 4th St. It has a wonderful decor. The dining room looks out upon a fish pond with the most beautiful fishes I have every seen. There were full length glass windows, it was very nice. more

This is the best New Mexican style restaurant. Not only were the red and green chiles hot, they were flavorful. The atmosphere was nice and I will definitely be back. more

I have great memories here, as it was the very first restaurant I visited on my first visit ever to New Mexico. Family owned and I will always come here when I visit my favorite state, New Mexico. more

I really enjoy this place. I have always had a good time. I always order the combination plate that includes a Chile Relleno (the best I ever tasted), Cheese Enchilada (I choose 1/2 red 1/2 green aka Christmas, on my enchilada) Rice, Beans and mmmm Sopapillas. more

Nice location outside during the summer but double the price for similar mexican food restaurants. 50% chance of getting a good tasting margarita and then it's mostly ice. Some nicer waiters but so-so service. This place could use better management. It has a great location and the patio is beautiful. more

Casa De Benavidez is a disaster 12/27/2009

We went to Casa de Benavidez for a meal to cheer up my best friend. It took over 10 minutes for a server to take our drink order, which was iced tea. It took another ten minutes for the iced tea to arrive. My friend found a piece of plastic in her food. We asked for a manager. The manager and another server came over. They seemed to think it was pretty funny and finally half-heartedly apologized, then left never to be seen again. Nothing was removed from our bill and nothing was offered to compensate for this. Bad food, bad service, way too expensive. I can get the same quality for a lot less at Taco Bell. more
