Best Mexican Food in East Texas 3/11/2006

My husband and I would frequently eat here while we were attending SFA. The food is great and resonably priced as well. Since moving to Houston we miss being able to eat here so every chance we get we drive home not only to visit family but to get some great mexican food as well. We have been to serveral mexican food places in houston and believe me there are many, but we have found none that compare to Casa Tomas. Pros: Inexpensive, good parking, great service Cons: loud, smoking allowed more

Wendy is the best waitress ever 7/18/2005

I have dined there for years and I have never more enjoyed a Mexican Restaurant so much. The food there is delicious and worth the price. However, the prices are very reasonable. My best expierence was a few weeks a go when a young lady named Wendy waited on me. She is sweet and attentive. Not once did I have to ask for something. Even still, allmy other expierences have been great. An the best margarita in east texas! Go wendy and the ritas! Pros: Inexpensive, comfortable atmoshphe, Margaritas Cons: needs the carpet back, needs joe vega back more

Great soup / Poor service 7/8/2004

There is a decent atmosphere of Old World type decorations and wall hangings, but the acoustics are poor which makes conversation difficult during peak hours. The food varies from a cheaply made salsa to very good crawfish or spinach quesadillas to excellent tortilla soup (easily the best in town). The service, however, is thought of by many as the worst in town. The service has been consistently bad for the last several years. Good luck finding your waiter when you need to get back to work on your lunch break. Pros: Best tortilla soup, Decent prices Cons: , Terrible service more
