Beautiful restaurant that just takes you back to mexico. The mariachi band serenades you on the weekends while you feast on delicious mexican food. my favorite dish so far has been the Salmon Tequila, yum! more

Your in for a treat!!! 9/7/2010

why cant I give this place more stars!! So i stumbled upon this place on a friday night with 2 of my girlfriends. We were craving some margaritas and this place was the closest to my house. I have passed it hundreds of times but it always looked closed, thats until i found out its only open for dinner! more

BEST Mesican Food and music in West LA!! 8/11/2010

I must say this place took me and my husband by surprise!! We love Mariachi and love having a margarita from time to time so when a good friend of mine told me about this place we jumped right on it and checked it out. WOW! We were taken back by the decor, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! They have a beautiful stage where the Mariachi sing and have dancers dance 1 song. I must say this they have 1 woman singer, SHE SINGS LIKE AN ANGEL!! She sang a song and literally gave me goose bumps and I teared up a little. The whole Mariachi group in fantastic!! I am hoping they are able to book gigs because I would love for them to sing at my cousins wedding!! more

Best Mexican Restaurant 8/4/2010

This place is so pretty , once you step into this restaurant you are surprised on how nice and different it is from other mexican restaurants everyone is use to going. I had a surprise birthday for my mother outside in the patio and my whole family loved it. The service was fantastic they were always asking if we needed anything else to drink and the servers were always there if we had any questions. We even had the Mariachi band singing songs that my family requested and they were having the time of thier lives singing along with the mariachi. If you love margaritas try the cadillac and personally I love the Irma bellini. more

Not your typical Mexican Restaurant 8/3/2010

Yup, place is usually pretty busy on weekends. So use open table or call in to make a res. During the week, you should be fine. This is the only restaurant in LA that I know that has not only lots of space for parking but also free valet. So when you walk into the place you are just wowed! On the ceiling is art work and a sky, which makes you feel like you are outside; kind of like those vegas hotel malls. Very nice paint color earth tones, rustic architecture and vintage art work honoring classic latin celeberties. There is a bar area and if you have a large party ,the main dining room or outside patio is perfect. The outdoor patio is very nice, large and has a waterfall. A great place to ecscape the Mariachi music if you wish.. so in the main dining room you actually get to hear a real Mariachi band and see Mexican dancers. They really put on a show and play some old classic American hits. It's a good time. The food ranks in my top 3 for mexican food. First of all who gives out free chips, salsa and guacamole these days....no one besides these guys. Even chipotle ,charges you a few bucks for this. The dishes range from Mexican classic to chef created fusion dishes. Definitely get the Sanchez Platter appetizer and get their most expensive margarita. Just one of those margaritas will get you buzzed. Service most of the time is pretty good on giving you more salsa when the bowl is empty. I have only experienced one occassion when the service was bad. I just think the waitress was having a bad day. All in all this is one of my favorite restaurants; perfect to take a date, celebrate a special occasion or just have a good nite out with friends. Don't go to chipotle and get ripped off, get the most bang for your buck and enjoy a real Mexican experience. more

Good place for margaritas! 7/31/2010

This is a great place to enjoy mariachi music and food, not really to sit together and talk since the music is live and loud, but great singer, by the way, and great repertoire (that was the first time I hear a mariachi band singing in English). I had the camarones a la diabla, spicy as they should be. Not crazy about the rice and beans with shredded cheddar cheese, but that is just how Mexican food is served in the US, so no big deal. The mango margarita was very good, service was nice and prompt. I wasn't crazy about the dessert selection, which is better for me since I didn't have any, but wouldn't mind having something more attractive that wasn't in the selection, like crepas de cajeta or a traditional jamoncillo. Anyway, this is a good spot, I'm definitely recommending this place to friends. Pros: Excellent margaritas, great music, nice environment Cons: Maybe music too loud more

Was not impressed! 3/21/2010

My husband ordered the mole enchiladas. The menu did not state with what meat it came with so they brought him chicken when he would have preferred cheese. The waitress offered to send it back but, she should have asked first. For the price they should have used good quality chicken, it was not, they used dark meat which is not good for enchiladas. The beans came out of a can. I don't recommend this place for dinner. Cons: layout, food more

good place to eat 6/10/2009

It was my first time at Casa Sanchez this weekend and i had a blast. The Mariachi is awesome!! The food is also good. I had the enchiladas, they were delicious accompany with a Pomegranate margarita wich was also great. I highly recoment this restaurant for big partys. Pros: excellent mariachi, food, and drinks more

Great food and music 3/10/2009

We celebrated my mom's birthday at Cass Sanchez and we had a great time. The food was great and the music was really good. This is a perfect place for a large crowd. Once the music starts it's pretty difficult to communicate! more

Another great restaurant added to my favs 2/14/2009

My fiance, my cousin, her husband and I wanted to experience a new mexican restaurant with mariachi, and we found it. Casa Sanchez was super good. Its located in Culver city, kind of hidden, in a nice neighborhood. When we drove up we thought it was small but when you walk in its very welcoming. The huge double wooden doors make you feel like you're entering an hacienda. As you walk in there is a stage where the mariachi is and the tables are in rows but very roomy and big. The tables were decorated with glasses and a single rose and a candle lit. Very romantic (which was what we were looking for). Our food was really really really good. I got the Pollo Tapatio- its chicken stuffed with spinach and mozarella cheese covered with rose cream sauce. It was soooooooooooo goood. My fiance had the new york steak that was very good too. his potato was not fully cook but the waitress took care of that very quickly. My cousin had the chicken enchiladas that she really liked. And her husband had the salmon and shrimp with salad. He finished that up quickly. Our drinks were good I had a perfect cadillac (well actually two), My cousin had a pinappletini, which she loved. The guys had beer. The drinks were good but a little pricy. But in the end it was worth it. The Mariachi made it all better, one of the girls sang I will always love you by whitney houston, she was fantastic, I wanted to cry. Overall one of the best experience I've had at a mex restaurant. Now we are planning on going for Mothers days and taking our mom's. Pros: Great service, food, entertainment, ambience, more

West LA mexican at its best 1/19/2009

West LA is not the best place to grab Mexican food - so please, do not expect your going to have the greatest Mexican food in the city. Once you get over that, this is a pretty good place to eat. Pros: Mariahi. Large portions. Free guacamole. No wait. New restaurant. Cons: No bar area. No drink specials. Little street parking. more

pretty good 1/9/2009

A lot of mexican food places taste the same to me.. this place is no different.. its good , but not bomb more

Better than last time! 10/30/2008

So this was my second visit to Casa Sanchez. The first time I went I took my boyfriend to dinner for his birthday. It was new and looked nice so we wanted to try it out. We weren't impressed. I ordered the fajitas and didn't care for them too much. He ordered a steak and didn't like it much either. The pomegranate margarita was good, though. For just the two of us I paid well over $120.00. I promised myself I wouldn't waste my time there again. BUT..... Pros: Good music! Excellent service and great drinks! Cons: Might be too loud for some people with sensitive ears :) more

Overpriced, bland, food. Rude service. 10/18/2008

My girlfriend and I live in the area and were excited when this place opened up. We were looking forward to having another great mexican restaurant in the area. Wow were we let down. I tried the steak fajitas. Bland, no spice, no sides. I asked for some sour cream or something to put on it because the steak was dry and there were not many peppers and the first two staff members didn't speak a word of English and the waiter acted like I insulted him by asking. My girlfriends Tacos were dry and uninspiring. My beer cam with a lime that was covered in brown spots. I'm paying $6 a beer, is it too much to ask for a fresh lime? The tortilla chips were stale and flavorless. This is a good place for senior citizens that can only eat bland food. We barley ate half and went to another place for tacos. To top it off, everything on the menu is over $15. Mexican is usually cheap and I don't mind spending if it is really good but this place is horrible. Stay away. Whoever wrote the other reviews work here. Pros: Location Cons: Everything you can think of. Stay away. more

great restaurant 10/9/2008

this place has a great atmosphere. The mariachi band was very entertaining. great place for large groups. Its dressed up like a vintage/classic mexico. The drinks are good and the food is Americanized Mexican gourmet. Cons: loud, not great for intimate talking more

Great Guacamole and Reasonable prices 6/16/2008

We have now been to Casa Sanchez 3 times. Delighted all three times. You get free guacamole and chips as soon as you sit down. You can have dinners from $8.95 and up. Exotic Seafoods or Chili Rellenos. The quality is lightyears above El Cholo. Not even similar. The dining room is like a Beverly Hills Mansion with a beautiful stage. One song by the Excellent Mariachis and then one Flamingo Dance. It's like going to a royal Mexican Dinner. Pros: Everything Cons: Valet...park on the street more

Scrumptuos carne asada and Killer Cosmos! 6/9/2008

It was the most delightful dinner I have had in years! Celebrated by sister's birthday and the mariachi band was super good looking and they can actually sing! Kudos Sr Sanchez more

Overview 2/28/2008

The restaurant was basically empty when we arrived. We waited for the rest of our party to arrive and due to traffic, they were late. We finally ordered. Drinks came quickly. When food arrived, the fajitas were on one platter and the rice and beans on another. Rice and beans were lukewarm., but the entree was hot. The mariachis were great, but much too loud to carry on a conversation across the table. Would I go back, probably but before the mariachi's came on board. Price wise...a little pricey for the area. Valet parking...just another $$$ to put out. Pros: convenient, good drink Cons: hate valelt, mariachi too loud more
