The service was terrific (they refilled our drinks frequently and tended to our every request). The waiter even helped us take a group photo at the end of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed the food and company at Casa Orozco, and I wouldn't mind coming back again on my own dollar. more

My co-workers and I came here on a Thursday afternoon for a team celebration. It was a late lunch, and we were ready for a feast! For my second time dining at Casa Orozco, I expected the the same quality of food, comfy ambiance, and attentive service that I received during my first visit. I went in anticipating mediocre Mexican/Southwestern food for moderately high prices (at least compared to other nearby Mexican restaurants). Please excuse my cynicism, but having wood fireplaces, HDTV's, and fancy paintings on the walls doesn't make your grub taste any better/more expensive. However, having qualified chefs (*check*) and competent staff (*check*) does add value to the company.\r \r We started off with a couple bowls of fresh, chunky guacamole, salsa and chips, and chicken quesadillas. I could see how Casa Orozco's menu would appeal to customers with various tastes and preferences. The have everything from carne asada to chicken enchilada to shrimp quesadillas and fish tacos. I love seafood, and my natural tendency is to order crustaceans and delicious finned creatures when I have the options. My friend and I shared the shrimp fajitas and a pan-fried tilapia dish. We were delighted with the presentation and portion-size of both dishes. Not only were they visually pleasing, the entrees were also flavor-fully pleasing more

I have been coming to your restaurant for about twenty years. I've been through the good times and the bad but I've always stayed loyal. Your bartender was my waiter many, many times. I wish you could clone him, he is the best waiter I've ever had. more

There is a reason people wait in line for this family owned restaurant. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and servers that will even serenade you. The margaritas are phenomenal and with a list of over 100 tequilas to sample, you can rarely go wrong. more

Not So Good Anymore 1/20/2012

This used to be a good spot to go,, not anymore,, I took my in laws over the holidays for a ""good dinner"".. Well the service was terrible,, after delivering the food the waiter never returned until it was time to give us the check,, never stopped by to ask how the meal was or if we needed any more water, etc. I ordered the Mole,, it was like eating paste from a can,, not home made,,if it was, it sat for days,, it was terrible. All they were concerned about was getting our money and booting us out of there.. well it worked because I will never go there again!.... Go to Casa Mexico... Better food and service! more

Sorta good 4/15/2011

Been going here since mama greeted us, dad cooked and the ""kids"" did everything else. It was fantastic! I followed them when they moved to their temporary home during the remodel, still good. Of course, went back to the beautiful new restaurant. Yes, it is beautiful, even has magnificent metal art in the bar designed by one of the daughters! But the food....not the same. Unfortunately it became bland and ""made for the masses."" I have been there several times since, hoping for a better experience since they are great people. Didn't happen. I really really want to write a great review but it's just sorta good. more

I'm glad i found you 1/29/2010

i am loving the food , the place looks like it belongs in a magazine , the staff is awsome even the owners are there to talk to you (Luis, Carlos and Mama orozco is there too) you can feel the pride here. When was the last time you went to a place where you not only got great food and drinks but the owners were there to make sure everything was up to their standards.\r About the comment of the bartenders Ilove Pepe dont get me wrong but couldnt we get a cuttie pie back there with him? Pros: the place looks like a palace and i get treated like a king. Cons: more female Bartenders please more

Nice beginning...No follow-through 6/20/2007

At first glance, Casa Orozco the aesthetics of a nice, authentic restaurant. We dined there on a Tuesday evening, there was no wait, the chips and salsa were good, and our food was served very promptly. However, although there were only three of us in our party, and the restaurant was half empty, two out of three orders were incorrect. In addition, the food had very little flavor, and was definitely not authentic Mexican food, which explained why the prices were not representative of the decor. The drinks are weak, and a little pricey as well. If you like the flavor of ""corporate restaurant"" Mexican food, this may be the place for you. However, if you are looking for a special place with great service and an authentic flavor, don't bother spending your time or money here. Pros: Nice decor, festive atmosphere, great salsa Cons: Not very flavorful, inaccurate service more

Great food! 2/13/2007

I think this place is great. It's perfect on a weekend for having a margarita with some friends & some great food. It get's very busy though so plan on a wait to get in. If you're looking for a quiet dinner you might want to go sometime during the week. Also good for large parties because they have some seperate rooms. I recomend it! The food is worth the wait. Pros: great food & authentic atmosphere Cons: gets very busy on weekends more

Very poor service 12/26/2005

Since the new place opened the service is really bad, It is very loud and you do have a hard time having a conversation with whom you are with. very bad move casa...sorry you will be losing my business. more

Good salsa, weak margaritas 9/21/2005

The service was lacking. Salsa was fantastic, as others have stated. My wife and I got a pitcher of margaritas for $19 (overpriced) and there were maybe 2 shots of tequila in it. No happy hour offered. Food was not authentic at all. Decor was very impressive but the room was so noisy we had trouble talking about the decorations. Pros: Salsa, Decor Cons: Price, Noise, Service more

Noisy, terrible service, avoid at all costs 8/1/2005

From outside, it looks really nice but as soon as you step in, you'll be greeted with lots of noise. Then we got our server and this is the most terrible part. She completely messed up our order. We have to ask the boy to call our server, she came after 5 mins and after realizing the mess, she just said okay and went away. (NO sorry). After we started eating we noticed another problem and again we had to ask one of the boys to call her. After couple of mins a guy came and he got us our correct order (with NO Sorry ofcourse). Then we got our check with no apologies for the mess and no thanks. After this I have talked to few of my friends and it seems like everybody has similar kind of story about this restaurant. I'd suggest completely avoid this restaurant. Pros: outside appearance, patio seating Cons: service, food, everything, noise more

Great margaritas!!! 2/15/2005

My husband and I tried this restaurant on a wim one day and found that is run by an entire family. Some cook ,some wait on you and others bartend. They are so friendly and attentive to your every need. They make the best Cadillac Margarita I have ever tasted! The food is so flavorful and they have such a selection to choose from that it's sometimes hard to decide what you want. They bring you chips and salsa free of charge to start you off while you decide what you want to order, the salsa is fantastic! On your birthday you get a free dessert and a traditional mexican band to sing you happy birthday. When thet are done singing to you they slap a sombrero on your head and slam a shot of tequila done your throat and then wipe your chin when your done. Pros: Inexpensive, great food, patio dining Cons: weekend crowding, reservations are best more

Not bad, but not as good as they claim 12/5/2002

For The TriValley; I tried this restaurant several times, hoping to get that ""authentic"" dish flavor. Unfortunatelly that did not happen. Their dishes are americanized and are missing that real mexican taste. Maybe they think americans are not ready for the authentic taste. In conclusion - Much better than any Chevy's (worst mexican food in the country) - Better than ""Alberto's Cantina"" - Better appearance than average mexican restaurants - For casual mexican food try ""Fiesta Taco"" or ""Las Fuentes"" (cheap and good, not appropiate for a date) - Not a bad place to eat, is just not as good or authentic as they claim - The best red salsa in town (to go) If you want a mexican restaurant appropiate for a date (in the tri-valley area), you should consider Italian food (!?). In other words I am still looking for ""the one"". Pros: Ambience, Good Salsa!, Nice People Cons: A little overpriced, Not so authentic, overrated more

Best Mexican in Livermore 11/28/2002

Authentic family owned mexican restuarant, outdoor seating under heat umbrellas. Very good mexican food. Pros: Great Food Cons: Often Busy more
