Casa Molina endures as one of the city's real veterans, having been founded in 1947. As a gray eminence among restaurants, it's entitled to certain eccentricities. Casa Molina's chimichangas are a little skinnier than elsewhere, but they make up for that by jutting crisply over each side of the plate. Everything else on the menu is either long, chubby, or in some way amply proportioned. Meat eaters laud the smoky carne seca, and anyone should enjoy a simple, traditional dessert of light sopapillas with honey. Casa Molina's other locations are 3001 N. Campbell Avenue , 4240 E. Grant Road , and in Foothills Mall at 6781 Thornydale Road . Most locations offer live entertainment toward the weekend, but only the Speedway restaurant has its own curio shop.
