Great Food and Fun 4/13/2006

Casa de Bandini is great place to hang out with a bunch of friends or to go on a romantic dinner. It's always very crowded and there's going to be a wait. There's plenty to see though as you stroll the Old Town's Bazaar del Mundo and interesting shops nearby. Once seated, you can order your drinks and probably the best Mexican food north of the border. They live band is great and really adds to the atmosphere and enjoyment of the meal. You can choose to eat indoors or out. Outdoors seating is very nice on a warm evening. Casa de Bandini is a place to definately visit when in San Diego. more

Yummy food, nice live band, huge margaritas 4/12/2006

This place has great Mexican food, a nice live band and the biggest margaritas I've ever seen. Unfortunately the margaritas have almost no alcohol in them. But they are big. the biggest size is the size of a fish bowl. This place is always packed and I don't think they take reseverations. The wait ends up being very long. And if you have a large party you will probably end up sitting outside. I like the food and atmosphere though. It's a nice place to go with some friends. more

Fun filled Mexican fiesta 8/27/2005

My roommate's family took me to the classy Casa de Bandini in Old Town's Bazaar del Mundo sometime in college, and it is probably one of the most festive dinners I have ever experienced. Patrons head to one of various bistro tables to enjoy drinks while waiting for their table. There is plenty to see, with the building being a large previous home that has been preserved as a historic landmark. Dinner is served in three elegant dining rooms or the beautifully decorated central courtyard filled with trees, music, and flowers. I highly recommend their margaritas. more
