My husband, daughter, and I all ate there less then a hour ago. My husband turns over his burger and sees mold spots on the bottom. Not just small ones but mold everywhere. I look at mine and its moldy as well. It seems like only the bottoms of it was moldy. I was so mad that I was about to leave. My husband told the guy about it and he didnt seem too concerned. He takes it back and brings out two new burgers and I asked for boxes (at that point er were just done with the place and I wasnt going to waste food so I was going to give it to my chickens) and HE GIVES US THE RECEIPT AND HE MADE US PAY FOR 4 MEALS!!! On the top of the booth we were sitting at there was also a moldy piece of food up there as well so they obviously have a mold issue and they obviously have a cleaning issue. I am so mad I am going to try and report them to the health inspector as well for Clackamas county. more

I love this place and order take out once or twice a week. Their beer battered mushrooms are the best in the world. Their burgers can't be beat! These cooks have a gift, which makes them in my book ( the best thing in Clackamas) for GREAT FOOD in a casual diner! Oh did I mention the milkshakes? Well, lets keep that our secret, we don't want masses of peeps coming from miles around, now do we? Im so glad I have a great eatery so close to home! more

For decades, this establishment held a special place in my ""Golden Burger Book"" as one of the very few places to go in the Portland area for a special burger - the other three being The Skyline, Helvetia and Stanich's. Today, my book relinquished a page to history. The Carver Hanger, once upon a time, could rightly boast a huge burger, fresh-cut fries and a unique atmosphere of serious model planes and photos of baseball greats; they still have the planes and pictures. Alas, the burgers lack everything that once made The Hanger a much-cherished destination. The hamburgers are well-done (dry, hard, tasteless), the buns are now standard-sized, swirl-top refugees from Burger King, and the only thing secret about the ""Secret Sauce"" is how long the mayo has been unrefrigerated. This, from a place that used to boast a rivalry with the famous Helvetia burger! But fear not - you can still PAY the big-burger price at The Hanger - you just won't get anything edible for the money. more

This place is tucked away out in Carver, but if you're in the mood for a great place to get a huge hamburger and fries after a day out on the river, then this is place. We love this place on those casual days when we just want to go somewhere that we can kick back, have a big burger, and enjoy. Pros: Awesome burgers, great pizza, good grub! Cons: Ah, it's great bar food, but don't expect more. more

Carver hanger has the best cheeseburgers that I have ever had! It does not compare to anyone. Highly recommend having a burger! more

Great if you just want to have a drink and a old time favorite in a bar atmoshpere! They have Fried Egg sandwiches! The only downside is that it is smokey! Cons: Smokey more

I really like the carver hanger although at times they can be so busy you wait for a while for your food. It is worth it however. The food is excellent. My husband and I go there a lot. The people who work there are very friendly and I know most of them by name. If you want a great burger or great prime rib go to the carver Hangar. Pros: great people, friendly service, great food Cons: sometimes long waits more

Friends - This place beats the Helvatia Tavern anyday! Similar burgers but way more for the money. Helvatia is good, but this is better more
