Carter's Homes is a family business. Carter's Homes was established in 1969 as Carter's Mobile Home Sales by Dean & Juanita Carter. They thought it would compliment the opening of Carter's Sunrise Acres Mobile Home Park. In 1971 the Carters heard from prospective customers about a "well built" home on the market made in Bean Station, Tennessee called a "NORRIS ". The Carter's called and visited the NORRIS factory and became "Your NORRIS Dealer" in Western North Carolina. The little dealer in the country has for many years now been the nations 1 NORRIS dealer several years and top 5 dealer most of the rest. In 2007 we were top retailer and top 5 for 2008. Carter's began as a company that cared for the customer. The Carter's listen to the needs of a customer and moves to help meet that need. Because of the low overhead location, out in the country, not only do you get a home more designed to your needs, you also get it at a better price since our savings are passed on to the customer. That low overhead lot is just a 7 minute drive to the country. Carter's Homes is located in the beautiful Cane Creek area between Fletcher, Skyland and Fairview; approximately 15 minutes from Asheville and Hendersonville. In 2009 we celebrate 40 years of business; 38 years as "Your NORRIS Dealer". Neil Carter, one of Dean and Juanita's 4 children grew up working in various areas of Carter's Mobile Home Sales. In 1980, Neil became owner of Carter's Mobile Home Sales and in 1999 we changed our name to Carter's Homes since we provide homes to a ongoing number of satisfied home owners. The Carter's are actively involved with the WNC Manufactured Housing Association. WNCMHA is active in helping protect the industry and customers in WNC, organizing the WNCMHA show for 15 years. Support of community development, taking High School's on industry tours, among many other activities. The Carter's also are involved in the NCMHI.
