Don't believe the hype 4/9/2012

Mark resells quality products, but his design and sub-contractors left much to be desired. He made many mistakes throughout the process which left me with a sink not centered on the window, and a seam in my granite where none was necessary. Cleanup was also non-existent, I had to spend several hours breaking down cardboard after the cabinet installation. Nice guy, but no attention to detail. Smooth talk and pretty plans do not add up to a professional kitchen installation. Compromise after compromise ended in an unsatisfactory final result. Not worth the headaches. more

Kitchen Renovations 4/9/2012

Carrig Kitchens helped us with a complete kitchen renovation of our place in the South End. From the first day we met Mark, he took the time to understand us and what our vision was for our new kitchen. He has a great understanding of our neighborhood and the trends that help maximize value. He did not try to sell us on products, he provided solutions to meet our needs. Mark was instrumental in guiding us through the design concept and showing us all the options available. We used his services for our cabinets and countertops. He executed everything as promised, and was genuinely interested in our satisfaction. The final product was amazing, completed on time, and fit our budget. I highly recommend Carrig Kitchens to anyone doing a kitchen remodel. more

Highly recommend! 12/20/2011

I hired Mark to help renovate an outdated Charlestown kitchen that lacked storage space. The result was a beautifully transformed kitchen with more storage space than I could have hoped for. He had great ideas, and really listened to what I wanted. I appreciated his attention to detail, as well as his design knowledge of what could be done in the space we had to work with. The cabinets were delivered on time, and I?m extremely happy with both the design and the quality. I would HIGHLY recommend Carrig Kitchens to anyone looking to embark on a kitchen renovation! more

We interviewed a number of kitchen designers for our new Back Bay condo. Mark Carrig stood out of the crowd. He was easy to talk to, open to design ideas other than his own, provided great product knowledge and was sensitive to our budget requirements. His cabinet design and quality is outstanding and we are very pleased with the new functionality and beauty in this new room. Mark is excellent on ideas and suggestions. We received many comments from friends and family members on one wall of cabinets that he suggested we do to warm up the room and give it a finished look. The wall had been blank and had a picture on it. It now has lovely cabinets, lighting, granite and tile elements that made a formerly blank wall - come to life. He gave us a first-class job. He is also very personable and low key. No pressure. It took us 10 years to get going on this renovation. We had talked to 2 other designers who did not have Mark's vision. One told me I could not have a center island due to space issues. Mark gave us a center island and it is the new gathering spot when friends come in. We also serve food for our family parties on it. Seemingly nice guy, pretty plans, poorly executed. Numerous mistakes and compromises throughout the process leading ultimately to an unsatisfactory result. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. more
