Carrabba's Italian Grill

The rave reviews for Carrabba's Italian Grill in Port Richey are well deserved. Everything I've tried there has been delicious, with one small exception -- the garlic mashed potatoes have just too much garlic. Otherwise it's great. The bartenders make excellent drinks. The service is very good, the wait staff pleasant and efficient. My favorite meals -- Pork Chops Marsala and Chicken Marsala. The price is a little high for Port Richey, but for special occasions, it's well worth it. Beware: Long lines on Fridays and Saturdays. more

I recently went to Carrabbas Italian Grill and was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. We had a table for fifteen people and they had no problem letting us have separate checks. The bread was hot and had an olive oil dipping sauce followed by a very cold caesar salad. My entree of shrimp over fettucine alfredo was huge with enough left for lunch the next day. The appetizers run about $10.00 each and the entrees go from $11.00 to $25.00 depending on what you are looking for. There is pasta in every shape and size. The service was great and we had no problems getting refills on drinks or bread. All the food came out hot and the steaks were grilled to perfection. Well, I like getting a meal for a affordable rate. But If someone else is piking up the tab- it's always welcome! This Carrabba's is a friendly, very busy restaurant. It is not cheap, so expect to pay a bit! But the food is true Italian. It is by far, hands down my mother's favorite restaurant. They have many pasta dishes, as well as the other typical Italian meals you expect to see, but are well known for the great tastes, flavors. The appetizer's are also spectacular! If you dine in, expect a fair amount of food for your money. You will probably want the recipes to take home! more
