The Buchanan's Love Carpe Diem! 6/22/2011

My husband and I absolutely love Carpe Diem. Both of our children attend (4 years old/1 year old). Four years ago we needed to desperately find another school for our son and my boss mentioned Carpe Diem. I called and scheduled an appointment and was able to tour the facility. During the tour, I didn’t know if the Director could tell, but I was almost in tears of joy. The school was well lit, the setup of the school is wonderful, and the teachers were actively engaged with each student. The Director explained the flow of the school and how students were developed – I felt like this was a TRUE development center for children. Everyone in the school knows every student by name, even the parents. This has become our extended family – ASK ANY FAMILY HERE!!!! That is the other thing that impresses me with the school. As working parents (1 hour away from my kid's school) I can't always attend everything the way I would like. The school takes pictures of my children during special moments throughout the year so I can include in their scrapbook so we will not miss out on those special moments. My mother and mother-in-law attended our son’s Pre-K graduation and they commented on how much they enjoyed the fun/interactive ceremony. They even mentioned that the investment my husband and I made four years ago to place our son in this dynamic program has definitely paid off and will assist my son in years to come. Even with my son moving on to the big school (as we call it), he will still attend Carpe Diem on holidays. Of course our daughter will be with the school for the remainder of her preschool years. WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL IF YOU CAN’T TELL :O). more

Excellent child care 6/20/2011

We have been very happy with Carpe Diem. They provide excellent care, and I feel that my children are very happy there. The teachers in the infant room are great. I feel that they really nurture and care about each child. And they provide fun activities for them, and the music teacher who comes each day is fabulous. My son reaches for his teachers when he sees them, and I know he feels safe and loved with them. The older toddler classes are wonderful too. The curriculum is great, and I love that they offer Spanish and music. The teachers are wonderful and caring and have been there for years. The facility itself is very clean and secure. Overall, it's a great facility with wonderful teachers, and I would recommend it. more

Excellent Kinder School 6/12/2011

We have had a wonderful experience having our young son at CD. He started at CD when he was just 14 weeks old. He is now 13 months old and has blossomed under the care of his five teachers. They have gotten to know our baby and us incredibly well and are really partners with us in ensuring that he develops into a healthy and happy little guy. I am confident that as he progresses through the school, their curriculum will have him well prepared for his next academic steps. We absolutely love CD! more

CD is the best 6/10/2011

My son has been attending Carpe Diem since Oct, 2010, he is in the younger toddler room.\r Over time he has grown to be a happy, fun loving and active toddler. He loves his teachers and greets them with a huge smile and a big hug every morning. \r The teachers are awesome, they are the best. They do a lot of things to keep the little ones happy and occupied through the day.\r They read books, teach them to sign, help the kids create beautiful art and sometimes just jump and dance with the little ones. They do all of this with smiles on their faces all the time. I trust them completely with my son. \r The music teacher is amazing as well, she plays different musical instruments and sings to the kids. His days at CD are filled with fun, laughter, music and learning.\r The administrators and staff are very friendly and warm. They make CD the special place that it is. \r I am so glad I decided to send my son to CD, this is the best decision I ever made. more

Our 2nd Family! 6/10/2011

My boys have been attending Carpe Diem (CD) in Richardson since 2004. They started in the Toddler Room and graduated through their Pre-school program. The CD curriculum is stout and more than adequately prepared them for them to become successful in their current private elementary school. The teachers and administrators are educators with a genuine concern for the children not only teaching the basics but enhancing the learning process with music, cultural appreciation, and hands-on experiences. The small-class sizes allowed the educators to grow to understand each child individually which in turn led to more tailored teaching. CD fosters a partnership with the parents which ultimately for us, led to them becoming our second family (after all they were caring and teaching our most prized possessions!). We continue to entrust our boys’ summers to them as their Summer Camp program is filled with on-going weekly field trips to local museums, water-parks and attraction venues (i.e., Legoland, Ranger Games, etc.). The Murphree’s have done an outstanding job in building a top-notch preschool program and luckily for the rest of the DFW area, are expanding this greatness into other neighborhoods and families. more

Fantastic School - Best in N Dallas/Richardson/Plano 9/13/2009

My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to send our son to Carpe Diem. We researched day cares thoroughly and determined that in the Plano, Richardson, North Dallas area there is no better day care facility. The low student to teacher ratio, fantastic staff (due to competitive benefits/pay), low teacher turnover, age-appropriate playgrounds (covered for the Texas sun!), facilities ( computer lab, indoor gym, library) the sign language curriculum for the infant and toddler rooms and the play based approach to learning were all huge draws for us. However once we made the decision to send our son there, what has really won us over is the way that he is thriving in this environment. He loves school and he loves his teachers! Our son is able to play and is nurtured in safe and fun environment that we could not have predicted possible from a “daycare.” To us Carpe Diem is a school that really takes care of our son – we could not more enthusiastically recommend this school to those looking for a similar experience for their children. It truly is the best in Plano/Richardson/North Dallas and we feel happy to be a part of the family. Pros: Wonderful Teachers/Staff, Great Environment for Kids, WebCam Cons: closer to our house! more

Excellent School 9/11/2009

Our son has been at Carpe Diem for the last 2 years and we are extremely happy with the care they provide. He comes home happy and there are days I have to drag him out of the school. The low student to teacher ratio and the additional classes of music, computers and Spanish, help us know, as parents, that he is not only learning and developing, but receiving some personal care. His teachers have always been great and make time to talk to us when we arrive and pick him up from school. We haven’t tried any other day care centers/preschools, but speaking with other parents who have, they all say Carpe Diem is the best. Pros: Low Student to Teacher Ratio more
