I went to Carolina Women's Care for my first two OB appointments. I experienced quite a few negatives--enough to make me switch to another location. \r
\r
1. Appointments times were not kept. My first appointment was at 11:00. I did not get called back to see someone until 12:45. Other pregnant women sitting in the waiting room griped about how they are always late on appointments. \r
\r
2. Overbooking. It appeared that Carolina Women's Care were overbooked as evidenced by the fact that women were standing in the waiting room. There were not enough chairs to accomodate all of the women (some of whom were extremely pregnant). There was one bench located outdoors which people also waited on and also smoked cigarettes. The waiting room inside therefore smelled of cigarette smoke. \r
\r
3. The room I was placed in was unclean. I saw debris on the ground and an old opened pack of Halls cough drops on my ""cleaned"" examining table. The walls in this place were paper-thin and I could hear details of other women's appointments in my room.\r
\r
3. On a good note, the staff was friendly (once you got to see them). However, on both appointments I never saw a real doctor. I saw PAs and other assistants only. \r
\r
Overall, I was not impressed by the location. Considering the number of appointments you will have as a pregnant woman through the duration of your pregnancy, I would choose carefully and ensure it is a location you are happy with.
Pros: Friendly Staff
Cons: Dirty, Overbooked, Crowded, Smelly
