I am editing my review below: Considering all the Second Amendment bashing by the left, we can witness first hand what this has done to the gun industry. No supply of ammunition or guns with the hysteria surrounding the curtailment of our rights. Hyatt has jacked up its prices to beyond ridiculous on some guns (M&P Shield is now $633!). There is some greed and gouging going on now. Saw $85 for 333 rounds of .22lr the other day. If you buy it, you support the gouging. Let the hysteria die down, people. In any event, CSA is trying its best to rectify the situation caused below. We'll call this incident bad training. CSA cares about their reputation and customers. They could just leave this be and say forget him, but they are not. They are trying to earn my business in a difficult time. I am giving them another chance and will report back.\r \r Better customer experience needed. Better prices needed. Hyatt has you beat. Buds Gun Shop has you beat. Put a deposit down on an M&P Shield. They are the same price at Hyatt as they are here. This place is closer to where I live. Sent a friend here to get his as well. Friend was told to put double the deposit down (called the next day and was advised that all was needed was a $100 deposit which is what I put down) and that he would be the first on a ""new"" list they were starting. Salesman told him that all previous orders had been fulfilled. That was a lie as I had not even received mine yet. The integrity is missing from the salespeople here. Manager called me and just apologized. Nothing more. I am sending him business and when my friend told me of his experience all I could do is feel like an idiot for sending him here. Management and owner should do more than just apologize for their staff's lies and bad business practices. This is why brick and mortar will fail. Online sales strive to provide a better experience. Look to Zappos and Remora Holsters as great examples. Oh, and Phillip R. below me works at CSA. He was the one that informed me that the larger deposit and list lie was just that. I'm not whining, just expressing the bad experience with CSA. more

Reading negitive reviews always appear as a whine from someone that didn't get their way,usually by wanting something they can not ot should try to afford.To compare the faceless Internet to a face to face brickfront is beyond real world experience.These guys are pros and deserve attention from first time buyers or current shooters. Wake up and suppot local... I've shopped around in my travel and the prices are great for the follow up in service... some people just don't appicate anything. more

Must agree with many other poor reviews. Sorry guys. I have tried to shop there several times over the last couple years to no avail. It's the closest gun shop to where I live and certainly a nice looking store, but that's it. I'm guessing that's how they get any business - uneducated gun buyers that live in the general area. Their prices are much higher than Hyatt and others and the service is a bit of a mystery to me. Arrogance is the theme. Ask around various shooting clubs and you'll hear the same. If you don't mind spending considerably more on the same gun you can buy at Hyatt (or any other shop in Charlotte) and condescending service - this is your place! more

I am not one to take the time to write negative reviews - I'm far too busy. I am a business owner myself, a doctorate, and a past board member for Safari Club Int'l, Charlotte, NC. I was so disappointed in this businesses practices that I must share the following and warn others: 1. I bought a new .380 pistol for my concealed weapon from Carolina Sporting Arms (it was near my business and convenient, though I usually buy from two other area shops). 2. I took the pistol to the range for the FIRST time and it did not fire. 3. I brought the pistol back -straight from the range and told them I'd like a refund AND that I was going to use that money plus add $400 more to buy a more expensive pistol. The staff took the pistol to the back firing tube and had the same problem - WOULD NOT FIRE. ...this is where the story gets truly unbelievable! 4. The sales person and later the manager, both, told me that they ""could not"" give me a refund, however, they would either send the gun back to the manufacturer to get repaired or give me back 50% of what I paid for the gun! ...really. This is after I had offered to buy a pistol that was twice as much money. This occured in January 2012 and is 100% true. Later in speaking with other gun enthusiasts at the Charlotte Gun Club and Safari Club, I heard of many other bad experiences. One comment that came up time and again was that they charge more than the other Charlotte stores for the same guns. Avoid this place and go to Hyatt in Charlotte or Nichols in S.C. for good old fashioned service and integrity. more

As a relative gun novice, the guys at Carolina Sporting Arms have guided me from getting my concealed carry permit to stocking my safe! I have a firearm for most every circumstance that could arise and am comfortable using it. The staff is very practical in their education and advice. They not only got me what I needed but gave me options within my budget ( and some out of it as well ) . More importantly , I had a great experience ! more

i have been a customer for sevaral years and have always found staff to be friendly & knowledgeable. they are helpful to the novice or the well seasoned. they will offer their opinion if asked and will procede at the customers pace. if you need a special service or item you need but don't see, just ask. in my opinion it's the top place to go. Pros: addresses every customers needs Cons: don't have curb service, but i'd rather go in anyway more

Great to do business with and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for honest and knowledgeable staff. Also don't waist your time shopping around because they beat every price in town! Pros: Big Store, Great and intelligent staff, Cheaper then the competitors. more

These guys are not customer friendly at all. They ignored me for a long time when I first went in there and when I waited at the counter patiently for about 7-10 minutes, and finally asked one of the guys if they could answer some questions, he insulted me and then I said, ""okay, I will go somewhere else."" He said, ""fine by my"" and I left. \r \r It is kind of weird when someone acts like they are doing you a favor just wait on you. I will never go back. Maybe I didn't know the secret handshake that is required. more
