If you’re like me, you may have driven by the Carolina Raptor Center sign on 77 and thought “Jurassic Park?” But no, dinosaurs do not reside here, a raptor is in fact, a bird. This educational facility works with rehabilitating wounded birds, as well as educating the public about species. It is quite an interesting place. The facility is located mostly outside, but don’t let this stop you – just avoid it on a rainy day. I would suggest bringing your children here, or even a cousin or 2. Anyone who wants to learn. I think this place would be great for fieldtrips as well for school children.
