As many other reviews have said, Dr Miketa is not a people person. He seems angry, efensive, and annoyed in general that you are at his office. I went to him a few times for Plantar fasciitis, each time treated with little to no respect. Finally I got fed up with his attitude/demeanor and told the front desk I would not be coming back. They gave me a knowing smile and said "We understand", I can only assume this was something they heard on a frequent basis. more

Not a Fan 9/28/2011

As others have stated, the Dr. has very poor people skills, and an odd interpersonal communications style. Went twice, and decided it was not my cup of tea. Found the experience very odd. On a positive note, the front office staff is very nice. more

Not as bad as they say. 9/21/2011

I live near Fuquay Varina, and had a horrible INGROWN NAIL!!! That thing was horrible! yuck! I hope it never comes back again. Anyways, my experience with Dr. Miketa and the rest of the staff was not as bad as others. The two girls were very nice, and helpful. The doctor was friendly at first, there was times when I didn't really understand what his mood was.( i was very attentive to see if these reviews were true) But, whatever, he seemed like he knew what he was doing. I asked the girls up front how long he had been practicing and they said early 90's so I'm sure he does know what he's doing. Just had my last visit today. The re-coop from the nail removal took a couple of week, I bought that kit thing they have in the office, at first I was gonna go buy on line but when i saw it was more expensive I just bought it in the office. I dunno if it would have taken longer if i had not bought the kit. At one point I got freaked out that my toe was RED!!! like a couple of days after the procedure... I called the office. One of the girl answered, Chassity? (I dont remember her name) ... anyways, the Doctor was not in that day. So she called him or something, and then called me back like 4 hours later, and told me just to take some ibuprofen. MY TOE DID NOT FALL OFF. ha ha ha... anyways now I'm ranting. All in all... if you are looking to be treated like royalty, or looking to make buddy buddy with the Doctor ( call him up for golf and stuff) then go to Cary or the Hamptons, LOL. If you need to get an Ingrown Nail taken care of then just go here. Did I mention I have no insurance, they were cool with that, got a payment plan.... ok I'm gonna stop talking now. This guy knows what he's doing. [Also may I remind all the readers, most people will only write reviews when they want to complain, so please let me encourage everyone to write good things about the places we like and not just bad.] more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 7/8/2011

I went to this practice because of a fungus condition of large toe...there also was an embedded nail that needed attention on same foot. He started on embedded nail first and caused a LOT of pain, when I complained of the pain he started yelling at me to relax! I told him ""pain and relax are not partners!"". His eyes became large and he looked deranged...I should have left then but I stayed. He then injected large toe for nail removal....,I felt nothing as he had used local spray (same spray he could have used for embedded nail).,,.,..he attempted tof have me purchase a ""kit"" at 37.00 which would help healing process and mean I wouldnt have to soak it, buy bandages, etc. I declined as I didnt have the money. It is now over a month and I have been back to office 3 times to have foot looked at...it is still red, sore, swollen and VERY painful...Every one I have spoken to (3 people) said they never experienced this length of pain and what seems to be an infection...they wanted to know if he used sterile instruments, I cannt attest to that as he kept a shield up at end of table so you cannt see what he does,...I have another appt. which I intend to cancel....I also met another patient who also had her foot bandaged up and she experienced the same thing...said she wasnt gonna have other one done as she has been through hell. more

I also wonder how they stay in practice. more

Worse place ever! 5/16/2011

I will never go back to this practice. I guess I should have known by the number of cars in the parking lot when I pulled in. There were only 4 there. 3 of them belonging to the staff and one to a female patient that was obviously upset by the service or lack of service she had received. I typically am a glass half full guy so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Which now I regret it. I came in for foot pain in my left foot. The doctor literally spent about 5 minutes with me total. He spoke so fast that I really could not understand what he was telling me that I needed to do and what was going to be done. He was in and out before I could ask any questions. After asking around town about him, I understand that his diagnosis is always the same, inserts and x-rays no matter what the issue is. This is not the half of it, I have been trying to reach the doctor for additional questions and as the feedback listed above mine, they never call you back. EVER. The office staff there is ridiculous, nothing but attitude. They are not helpful, they just pass the buck back and forth in hopes that the patient will give up. The office’s are dirty with numerous ceiling tiles with leaks. The prescription I received had another person’s name on it, crossed out along with two other prescriptions marked through it, leaving just one medicine and my name written next to it. Needless to say, the drug store would not fill it. I have never experienced a 3rd rate doc in the box, but I think this may come close to what that experience would be like. One would wonder how is this place still in business? more

The Best and Caring Doctor I have found in a while!!!!! 12/26/2010

I am very thankful that my youngest daughter was referred to Carolina Family Foot Care. She has been with a lot of pain with both of her feet and her big toes for years, and would even get very bad infections from in grown toe nails on her big toes to where I would have to take her to the doctor's in order to get them taken care of. Her doctor saw that she was having such a bad problem that he sent us to see the doctor at Carolina Family Foot Care and with in not time at all they had her an appointment and saw her at the office. The first thing he did after seeing her was talk to both of us about a couple of problems that he saw going on and said that he would like to do an x-ray to see if other internal problems were going on. It was great he was able to do the x-ray right there in the office, look at them, and then come back in the room to talk to us about what he was and what he wanted to do in order to correct the problem. First he did cut down the sides of her big toe nails and fix it to where they wouldn't grow back in order to fix the problem with her getting in grown nails and infections all the time. This was over two years ago and she hasn't had an ingrown toe nail or infection at all. The next thing that he needed to do was a surgery in order to correct her flat foot, the turning of her foot, and the bunions that she was getting. She doesn't wear high heel shoes or sandles so that was not what was causing it. She had the surgery done on her right foot and has had no problems at all, and has had no pain in that foot either. She decided that nothing was wrong with her other foot and went to live with her dad for almost two years. Her left foot has been hurting her a lot and she has decided that there really was the need for the other foot to have the surgery just as on her right foot, and has moved back home with me. She got here on the 20th of Dec, and I call the office on the 22nd and they wanted me to bring her in that day so that they could get things going because they know that there is a good chance that she allowed her left to get into the shape that her right foot was in. I could not make it to the office by the time they wanted me there so they made her an appointment for Dec. 28th the first day they are back after the Christmas holiday. They have always put her and her needs first and taken care of what it is that she has needed. I have never had a problem with this office, staff, or the doctor. She has been totally pain free in her right foot for two years now and it is a true blessing to me as a mother that hates to see their child in pain. I am very thankful that they are willing to get her in so quickly and get her other foot taken care of. Anyone that tells anything other than good things about this office, staff or doctor is not telling the truth. I have worked for doctor's before and I can say that thing get busy and crazy inside a doctor's office, and people don't understand, but we all do the best that we can. I don't know what the person from Feb. of 09 is talking about, but I think they have this office mixed up with some other office, because I have seen how they have treated the other patients in the office while I have been there and I know how they have treated my daughter, and they are one of the best offices I have been to in a very long time. They put their patients firsts and really care about them. more

WORST DOCTORS OFFICE EVER!!!!!!!!! 2/23/2009

I will never go back to them again. I originally went about fungus under my toenail almost a month ago. When I first called and made an appointment I showed up on the scheduled date and time. They had no record of my appointment being made. They did recover however and saw me that afternoon. It is a good thing I was not working that day.The doctor told me that I needed to get a liver profile done for the medication to be aproved. I did that and had my family doctor fax it to them. Now here comes the horrible service. After that I called them 8 TIMES asking about getting a prescription called in and everytime they took my name and number and told me they would call me back. Everytime they never called back. When I would call them back they would act like they had never spoken to me before. Finally they said they had the profile and the doctor would have to review it. Once again they said "they would call me back". A week later I called them again and once again they said they would call me back.Just today I had to call them twice and I still have no prescription called in. This is the most rediculous service I have ever recieved from anyone and will never go there again. I am starting to think I am going to have to go somewhere else to get a prescription for the medicine. I think they might be doing this on purpose because I do not know how anyone could be that STUPID and LAZY. I will post another review once I recieve my prescription letting everyone know the total time it took to get the prescription if I ever do. more

This practic saved me from the pain I was in!!! THANK YOU !!! 9/16/2008

I saw three doctors prior to going to Carolina Family Foot Care. All of them provided me expensive care but my pain was still there. The doctor at Carolina Family Foot Care took the time and effort to diagnose my problem Within two days of his treatment I felt 90% relief and soon after I was 100% pain free. The doctor provided me with Custom Orthotics which have kept me pain free . I highly reccomend this practice and Doctor Miketa. Time and money well spent. Pros: Quality medical care more

That post you see is a bold lie. I never have treated a patient like that in our lives. 9/16/2008

You don't need to x ray an ingrown nail as the nail is visible with the human eye. Never has a patient jumped out of the chair and bandaged his own foot. That post is a lie by someone who is obviously malicious. Never have our doctors behaved in such a manner. Never have our doctors told a patient they were behaving like a baby. I know not why that post was written or who did it but it is obvious to all that is is made up. more
