Dr Minor did my colonoscopy, afterwards I had quite a bit of problems with my colon. Not sure why and still don't know. I called and made an appt with her and had to wait 3 weeks for it, with all sorts of issues counting the days I could see the doctor. I never saw the doctor, only a PA who gave me a terrible Rx that made me sick and costs $264. After a week of taking it, I stopped and will not return or recommend. I got a bill for the follow up that I paid. They were referred by my insurance company and do a cheap treatment and it is like getting on the bus. Don't expect too much if you go there. I sat in the Pineville office for 50 minutes and did not see the doctor at all! I saw the pharmaceutical reps passing out refreshing grande iced coffees, apparently the doctor didn't get one! I guess if you are willing to use a vacation day or work third shift, it would be possible to have a 10 minute evaluation. The office reps said it normally takes an hour for the 1st visit, at that point, I really didn't trust them and I was thirsty from thinking about the cool afternoon treat! more

I was told by my primary care doctor that I needed to get a Colonoscopy. I was really nervous and a little scared at first. When I called Carolina Digestive the woman who answered the phone was so nice and understanding and told me all the reasons why I should go through with it. \r \r Because I am over 50 and I was not having any symptoms or any problems I got to by pass the consultation and go straight to the procedure. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes and they got all my information and screened me! I was floored I could get a procedure scheduled that fast. \r \r Plus they have their own Endoscopy Center off of Billingsley that is brand new! It was so nice, they even put a warm blanket on me to calm me down before my procedure. With my insurance with BCBS I walked out of there with only having to pay a specialists co pay. \r \r WONDERFUL SERVICE! Highly recommended. more

I had 2 bad experiences. First, a doctor in the Charlotte office did not understand how to manage a patient with type-1 diabetes and declined to perform the procedure when I arrived for it because my sugar level was high. He forgot (?) that he had instructed me not to take any meds the day of the procedure and did not get that this would lead to high sugar levels. In any case, high sugars do not block an endoscopy so there was no reason to cancel the procedure. The doc who referred me to Carolina Digestive was quite surprised by this behavior and I was quite frustrated by it. Lost a whole day. \r Second, when I restarted the entire process over again with a different doctor (in the Monroe office), I showed up at 10am for a 10:30am appointment, having all my paperwork ready and turned in early. I was taken back to the examining room at 10:30am... and the doctor never showed up. At 11am I walked out and told the receptionist that I was leaving. I got blank stares and dumb looks, but no apology, no effort to find the doctor... nothing. They bill you if you don't show up for an appointment. How much do they owe you if the doctor doesn't show up? An apology, at least. Cons: inappropriate medical procedure, doctor did not show up for appointment and no explanation more
