I really wanted to like Carnegie's. I support fledgling independent restaraunts. It's a super convenient location in an innovative setting. However, I found the service lacking. Our server took so long to take our order we finally flagged down the hostess. (she ended up waiting on us too because he was so busy) Strangely, they had a lot of staff, but not enough designated to do the right things. Since they have an open kitchen we got to hear the chef's frustrations while we were waiting for our table. IN THEIR DEFENSE, IT WAS NEW YEAR'S EVE. However, it made it even more alarming when a staff member told us it was her first day. Food was good, though, and the price not bad. Do not go if you're in a hurry. Good ambience, good date restaurant. I may go back, but I hope they get their service together! Pros: Ambience, Food more

We've eaten here several times and the food, ambiance and service never disappoint. The ambiance is always serene and calm. The food is always flavorful, perfectly executed and artistic. The service is always attentive and professional. Their prix fixe menu, $26 for a three course dinner is one of the best values in town. Pros: serene ambiance, great value, delicious food more
