This place is horrible! It good thing that many people are seeing what frauds Maria and Richard Ceronii are. Basically stealing money from banks. Department of Education and individuals. During my enrollment, I was sexually harassed, yell at in front of class and basically my personal information for financial aid was discussed in front of people. Classes were not taught as well as altogether cancelled and a spring break was taken early for about a month. I now have a student loan in the amount of 6,000 dollars for only a month and half of education. More charges need to brought against the Ceroni Family. more

Horrible experience 7/26/2012

I applied to this school in the "rehabilitation massage therapy program" Which they did not teach therapy , but rather Swedish massage (rub downs) They cannot keep teachers, and many of the ones they have are not only unqualified, but student themselves. The school lost all its accreditation and is in some kind of FBI investigation, and are no longer enrolling students. And they wont explain to their students whats going on or why they never received their financial aid..You cannot leave this school being competent members of the medical community. If you want to learn how to give a good rub down. By all means this place will serve the purpose. But if you want a medical career ... dont waste your money. more

Funny, but a little sad...... 12/5/2010

This school is indeed a bad humorless joke. "Unprofessional," is a massive understatement. Sexual harassment and sketchy financial aid practices abound.(I won't even talk about the new "massage clinic"...ugh....) True, it is run by the family, and unqualified students are, in fact, the instructors. Illiteracy in the staff also seems to be a big problem. I would not be surprised in the slightest to see the place investigated in the near future. more

Fantastic 11/13/2009

I am a graduate of Carnegie and not only was I emplyed in my field before I graduated, but loved the learning experience. The school is highly recognized in the medical field and has amazing programs. The school is academically tough, but this leads to its high passing rates on licensing boards. It was a great move on my part and I highly recomend it. more

Fantastic Work 4/28/2009

Good: All of the students are friendly, and considering their lack of experience time, still know plenty- The instructors and other workers are cordial and quick to finish tasks.. Bad: The only big downside is that some of the massage rooms have a lack of positive atmosphere.. Improvements: More private rooms, maybe converted from the semi-walled rooms currently in use to match the 3 side rooms.. Other: I highly suggest coming for a massage if the need strikes- The price is good for the time, and the quality is great for the price.. more

aweful...... 2/2/2009

My experience at Carnegie gave me the pleasure of knowing that anybody can recieve a degree in any course without trying. They just hand out certificates without even having a class for it. And as for hands on experience, we once had a teacher who taught this, and the dean himself said that this was a waste of our time. The college is run by students, and students have access to my financial aide information. (Which includes my social security number, my family income, and my loan information.) I definitly agree that it is family oriented because family is all that runs it. I have spoke to other colleges about events that have happened at Carnegie, and they laughed and don't know why it is accredited. If you want a school that will take your money and not teach you the skills that make you marketable in this economy, then by all means, enroll in Carnegie. more

Kneading To Know 6/30/2005

I am a graduate of the Massotherapy Program at Carnegie Institute Of Integrative Medicine & Massotherapy. I am also a reiki master. I teach reiki at this school. I found this school to be both innovative and challenging. Marie Ceroni, director and her husband Richard Ceroni, Ph.d., L.M.T., believe that education should be a hands-on experience that celebrates individual strengths and learning styles. They go out of their way to help their students anyway they can. They understand where improvement is needed, and what potential has yet to be tapped. In addition to the massage and reiki programs, the school also offers a program in medical assisting. I applaud Marie and Richard for what they have accomplished. I take this opportunity to thank them for the education I received. more
