You wouldn't expect crabcakes at a Lebanese restaurant, but the Carlyle Club has what I think is one of the best in Baltimore. Jumbo lump crab meat with just enough filler to hold it together, with lovely delicate spices. The menu is interesting, with artful and subtle use of exotic spices. There are wonderful, flavorful appetizers, beautifully prepared meats and seafood, and a nice wine list. Wrap this up with decent prices, excellent service, and lovely ambiance, and you have a great evening out! Don't be put off by the strange location. There is complimentary valet parking, and the restaurant is quite lovely inside.
