My husband was involved in a serious car accident on the job while performing surveillance (he is with law enforcement). After 3 days in the ICU (fluid around his heart, a broken sternum, & several broken ribs), he was released and referred to this medical office. The office is located literally within 2 minutes of our home. The first visit was uneventful. But when we tried to schedule his 2nd appt the following week, we were told that depending on the day of the week, he may or may not see the same the doctor. Because my husband had to be seen weekly in the initial months following the accident and the office's schedule was almost booked for some weeks in the future, we had limited choice and found it impossible to book a day with the initial doctor he had seen. We were floored. Basically, the scheduling assistant was clear that returning patients being seen by different doctors was standard operating procedure for them. We were then referred to another doctor in Torrance (20 minutes away from our home, one way). His service was the same as, if not better than, this center's medical service and my husband got to continue his treatment with the SAME DOCTOR. What a novel idea-- to be treated by the same physician concerning a major injury, to be treated like you're a human being rather than a widget running down an assembly line being handled by different assemblers. Lastly, when I tried to explain our concerns with a receptionist and then finally with an office manager, it was a horrendous "bureaucracy"-- leaving messages and ridiculous hold times to even get to the receptionist. This is a SMALL medical office-- there is no excuse for unmanned phones. I don't normally write online reviews, but when I saw this website, I just had to document our experience.
