This is a business that pays someone to stand outside and call tow trucks on anyone parking in their empty lot, without warning. They proactively ruin the evenings of many people....

Pays staff to TOW CARS..... 3/12/2010

This is a business that pays someone to stand outside and call tow trucks on anyone parking in their empty lot, without warning. They proactively ruin the evenings of many people. The lady this evening seemed to take particular delight in phoning in tow trucks to catch anyone who parked in their empty lot and enter a neighboring restaurant. Enough said. They don't care for and value prospective customers. Let's help keep this lot empty until they learn this valuable lesson. Pros: None, with the towing... Cons: Read for more... more

Great food, atmosphere, service and prices! 7/21/2007

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Knoxville! Every dish we've tried has been flavorful and excellent.....the potato soup is the thickest most flavorful I've ever tasted...the spicy romano chicken is a unique combination of artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes in a spicy cream sauce with bowtie pasta and grilled chicken....the italian nachos are better than your average mexican nachos...they are actually pasta chips topped with black olives, tomatoes, jalapenos, sausage/grilled chicken and melted cheeses. Also a nice cozy atmosphere, good drink menu, plus friendly and attentive servers. We have been a bunch of times and Johnny Carino's is consistently good every time! I'm already looking forward to our next visit! more

Super food at great prices 4/1/2007

This was an excellent visit to an excellent italian restaurant. I had the italian nachos which were wonderful. They are not your normal nacho, as they have an italian twist that hits the spot. The food was wonderful and they atmosphere made you feel like you were at home. The service was nice with just the right amount of interaction and suggestions from our server. I enjoyed this experience very much, and cant wait to go back. Pros: Great traditional Italian and nice new twists on old favorites Cons: So much food...you definately need to wear loose clothes more
