Hi, I'm Alison Potter, president of Caring Transitions of Buffalo. While I've played various roles in our community, from education to catering, it's been my experiences in the senior living world that have left a lasting impression on me. I've gained a deep understanding and empathy for the challenges seniors face.
Before joining Caring Transitions, I spent several years as a sales director in an assisted living community. This role allowed me to work closely with seniors and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of moving from their long-term homes to more supportive living environments.
Perhaps the most transformative experience in my professional and personal life was when I was diagnosed with stage three cancer. Battling this illness made me acutely aware of the vulnerability and resilience in all of us, especially in our senior community. This challenging period reinforced my commitment to working in senior living, where I felt I could make a real difference.
